2018 Clara I settled down in front of our big-screen TV in the living room, watching my favorite comedy series, 'Friends,' while munching on a delicious slice of pizza and laughing. I mean who wouldn't laugh while watching friends . I took a sip of my soda and reached for another slice of pizza. "Typical Saturday," I said with a sigh, realizing that most of my Saturdays were spent like this—indoors, having a nice break time from school and everything.

I took another bite, then another bite, then a few more, but it still tasted beautiful every single time. After finishing a few pieces, I started on the fries, occasionally taking sips of the milkshake. I took out my phone to watch a movie. I was determined to enjoy my alone time with good food. I was too poor to afford N*****x so I used YouTube when I wanted to see a movie. The only good thing my apartment had going for it was the working wifi. I searched for my favorite animated series, SpongeBob. A young adult, but a child at heart you could say. I was twenty minutes into the first episode and halfway through my food when I heard a knock on my door. “Coming," I yelled.

I could already taste the buttery salty goodness. After we all grabbed snacks. For me it was popcorn, Junior mints, and a coke zero. Carson was the king of gummies as he had both lifesaver ones and the nerd clump looking ones. Robbie like me had popcorn but I watched him dump in a bag of m&m's inside it. Seth was all about the jerky and popcorn. We found seats and then put on the new cooking show. We were half way through the first episode when a few other pack members joined us. They were laughing as they walked in but soon became quiet as we all watched the contests fight over who made the best entree's.

Kathrina POV Two weeks later: "Hey, your food is getting cold," Lita said, almost yelling, jolting me out of my thoughts. I glanced at Hayden seated next to me who was staring at me and I faked a smile, taking my spoon. "Geez, you were just staring at your plate of macaroni and cheese like it wasn't what you wanted to have today for lunch," Lita said. "If you don't want to have this, I can go get you something else from the counter," Hayden proposed.

"Hah! Dahl will only get richer after the launch of their new product next month!” Lily Vester muttered angrily as she reached for the remote control on the table in front of her before changing the channel on the TV. Previously, the TV in her living room broadcast news about how DAHL Electronics would launch its new product next month, but now it was showing a melancholy drama that had become one of the most famous shows in the country even though it only sold unnecessary tears and screams in every episode.

Then she walks away. The next knock on the door is in fact my lunch. The woman who brings me my meals tells me that it's a cheese quesadilla with a side of cilantro-lime rice. It looks so delicious. I quickly thank the person who brought me my lunch and I start to eat it. By the coffee table there's a small television. He has N*****x so I decide to watch Legally Blonde. "What are you doing?" I catch Alpha Hughes's scent. "I-I, um-" I can tell he's a very impatient person because yet again he interrupts me.

Isabella laughed a little at the friends on the television, and Mercy laughed, too, because she realized she was supposed to. After they finished their sandwiches, Isabella took the plates back into the kitchen and Mercy decided to change the channel to see if something better was on. She really had no idea what kind of shows she might like. Flipping through the channels the way that August had shown her, she saw all kinds of things. Some were in black and white, which was strange. Others were drawings. She tried to watch each one for a few moments to see if it was interesting before changing the channel. She stopped on a channel where there was a drawing of a little girl talking to a monkey

She didn't interrupt, didn't show irritation, just listened and asked appropriate questions. Ms. Chen made notes at her desk in the corner, observing quietly. After thirty minutes of hearing about Miss Vivian's wonderfulness, Elena gently redirected. "The fashion show sounds amazing. Are you hungry? I brought some snacks if you'd like." "What kind of snacks?" "Apple slices and peanut butter. Your favorite." Lily's face brightened just a fraction. "You remembered." "Of course I remembered." They shared the snack, and the conversation slowly shifted to safer topics. School, Lily's friends, a book she was reading for class. The tension in the room eased slightly.

She nodded, sniffling a little. “It's so spicy, but I like it,” she muttered before taking a sip of orange juice. After finishing her food, she quickly took her medication and cleared the table without a word. “Are you sure you want to go to work? After everything that happened yesterday?” I asked again, this time kneeling to help her with her heels.

I turned back to the tv and tried to keep my mind occupied with what I didn't understand.
