Celeste was seven when the nightmares began. She’d wake screaming, thrashing in her bed, silver light exploding from her in waves. The first time it happened, the power surge shattered every window in our house. “It’s okay, baby. You’re safe. It was just a dream.” I held her while she sobbed, her small body shaking. “Not a dream, Mama. A vision. I saw… I saw bad things. Wolves hurting. Fighting. Fire everywhere.” Her violet eyes were wide with terror. “And a shadow. A big dark shadow that wanted to eat everything.”

The more Seven trained they could see that her aura was getting stronger and she had this authority around her always. Seven sat in front of the dresser in the room looking at her reflection in the mirror while she was combing her hair, “It has been almost six months that Jacob has left and I still don’t remember who or what I am,” she told the reflection. “I really wish I could get my memories back soon,” she said after tying her hair and heading to bed. At night Olivia once again woke up horrified and sweating profusely. The nightmares were getting worse and Lilith was in her head more often than not. She lay flat on her bed and pulled on the covers. She knew she must get some sleep because she had a long day ahead of her.

“Never,’ I spat with disdain, filled with outrage. My wolf just ignored me and was just excited and singing happily, not caring if I was cheerful about it or not. She knows how I hate fated mates. “Thinking of refusing about the seven of us, shit, you can’t and it will take me nothing to suck the life out of you and leave you for dead.’ The seven of them? How ridiculous! What? “Oh, you haven’t perceived the other’s scent here,’ I looked around. There were only six. Well, their pheromones say there are seven of them. Where is the remaining one? I don’t give a damn. Seven mates. This was too much, not one mate, but seven. What am I, a robot or some sort of sex machine to them?

We enjoyed our company_our haven of peace, even if it was for a little while. I didn't realize that I had drifted into a nap. “I was lying on a cold, hard bed. It was cold, just too cold. I kept turning and tossing, only to wake up in a murky room. It was so dark that I felt blind, voices whispered in an eerie tone. I felt goosebumps on the back of my neck, I was scared and alone. Just when I felt I couldn't bear the whispers that tormented me, I heard my father's voice:

Mom and Dad will come to me and let me sleep in their room. Yuan said that I should not be afraid of Nightmare because it visits the ones who are scared of it. He said that if I became brave to sleep alone, Nightmare won’t visit me. When I was eight, he gave me his favorite stuffed toy. He said it protects him from Nightmare and if I sleep with the teddy bear, Nightmare will not come to me. I don’t know what happened because his teddy bear suddenly lost its magic to protect me from Nightmare.

Her Granny found it interesting, she called it a blessing because it had helped the family in so many ways. Juana herself didn't think it was a blessing, she found it really strange and scary. She'd rather not know the future than know and not be able to stop it from happening, the bad parts that is. She remembered having a dream when she was seven. It was a very strange one. She saw nothing, literally nothing. She was walking on nothing and staring at a ball of nothing. There was no air, no trees, no buildings. Everything was blank. She herself felt invisible. She screamed right out of sleep that morning. And it was the morning of her seventh birthday. When Baron and Dawn asked her about it

I'm about to slide in the shower when Seven asks, "Is it me?" I quickly spin around to hear the question more clearly. "What?" "In those nightmares... Is it me?" he repeats himself more clearly. "You?" "Is it me that does bad things to you? Am I the reason you wake up screaming and scared and sweating? Am I the monster in your dreams? Are you afraid of me?" Seven asks rapidly and anxiously. I wend towards him and sit right beside him on the bed. I touch his cheek softly.
