I slowly flipped through the pages to find old photographs of people that I did not recognize. Most of them were family portraits of people who seemed wealthy. When the story was over, and I flipped to the last page about the prince and the princess moving into the beautiful palace to live happily ever, he looked up at me with a grin. “You’re the princess, mommy!” he exclaimed, pointing to the couple on the page, “and Aldrich is the prince!” I smiled at that; if only he knew I was technically one by association, but just didn’t act on it. “Yes, honey, Aldrich is a prince,” I said, closing the book. “But you are with the prince, so you’re a princess,” he demanded, furrowing his eyebrows.

Thanks to Prince Victor, I was able to distract myself by getting lost in one of the many fairy tales he gifted me. Turning the cover page over, I looked at the very first page to find a letter from Prince Victor. 'Now this one is going to take you for a wild ride.
