Madeline and Jeremy’s excitement slowly returned to normal. “Hello. I’m Amy Young, Adam’s fiancée. I must really look like this Cathy you speak of, but I’m not her. Amy’s grin widened. “Guess what I found?” Her voice was loud. “Lola’s secret world. Should we read it out?” A surge of dread rushed through me. “Amy, don’t. Please, that’s private.” I moved forward, but one of her friends stepped in my way, arms crossed. Amy ignored me and flipped through the pages, her nails scratching over the paper. “So many secrets,” she taunted, eyes scanning my handwriting. “Who wants to know what our little Lola really thinks about her ‘boyfriends’?”

I exclaim towards her wolf, distracting her, "Amelia, Laurie can make you and us rich. If you hurt him now we're going to miss out on all the fame and glory. And money." I don't know if it sounds as ridiculous as I hear it in my head, but I think it works because Amelia stops looking so ready to kill. My pup is still attacking her, but no matter how strong the little alpha is, he's still a puppy. Amelia isn't really being hurt now, Laurie's teeth may be sharp, but not enough to cause a worrisome injury. Amelia picks him up in her muzzle and tosses him aside just to get him off her, but Laurie comes back again and again, as stubborn as I am.

The cute girl is Frankie,” A brunette waves at me from across the fire. “Hi,” Amy continues. “The twin brothers are Hugo and Kalle,” Two Scandinavian guys, both blonde, nod their approval.
