Our little secret (Friends to lovers)

Our little secret (Friends to lovers)

Josh laughs. “It hasn’t been that long. Stop being a drama queen,” I laugh. I greet my friends before sitting down, a drink getting handed to me. “Who is up first?” I ask. “You and me, mate, since we didn’t get to finish our last game,” Josh said, “I will break,” He added. I nod, letting him go first while I had a drink. The lucky fucker hit well on his first shot. I will catch up in no time, though. I usually kick his ass.

Very much enjoyed this story! Great dialogue, characters & storyline. Did not drag out with ridiculous plot twist or misogynistic action against the female lead. Plot was whimsical, but nicely done. No excessive, but stupid chapters. Kudos to a job well done! Thanks!

I couldn’t put this book down and read it in a day. It was compelling, the characters were well written, and I loved the FL (by the end). Absolutely deserving of 5 stars!! I’m going to read more by this author, for sure!!

Mr. Darren's Feisty Little Pet

Mr. Darren's Feisty Little Pet

Darren: I walked out of the building and went into the deeper part of the market, my ears picking up the sounds of human heartbeats. Stopping by the usual stall, I saw Robert, the owner of the place, he was inside conversing with a young lady "A box of red pills" I said and Robert stood up immediately after he heard my voice.

Asking for a Friend

Asking for a Friend

The shop assistants smiled lazily and had none of their usual bustling energy as they flitted between customers. Annie held my hand as we made our way to her favorite shop, a department store for kids, with toys everywhere and even a huge doll house. Chatting to Denise while we walked, she looked up at her with wide eyes. “Guess what! We went fishing yesterday with Mommy’s boss.” Denise smiled, shooting me a wink over the top of Annie’s head. “Yeah? What did you think about him?” “He’s so cool,” Annie gushed. “He showed me everything in his tackle box and let me help him with the bait.”

HIS LITTLE PET

HIS LITTLE PET

"Hey, wait here. I'll be right back." I watched him walk over to the counter with his friends. My shoulder still felt warm where his hand had been. I tried to focus back on my laptop, but my heart was beating so fast I couldn't read a single line of text. A few minutes later, Maverick walked back over to my table alone. His friends were waiting by the exit with their cups of iced coffee. Maverick set a small brown paper bag down on top of my notebook. "What's this?" I asked, looking up.

An Unroyal Alliance

An Unroyal Alliance

Ayesha greeted. “Sorry, but do you have a small knick knack we can buy? Something the sisze of my finger.” She held up her index with a shy smile. “Of course. Come with me.” She secured the register and took them to a display on the bottom shelf to the right of the shop’s door. There were various porcelain animals, from elephants to cats, dogs to sheep and even other objects like hot air balloons and a miniature of one of Watford's parks. “You can look through these.”

We're Just Friends

We're Just Friends

The lady announced, taking off the apron on her. "Alright, mademoiselle." Said the young man. The woman strode out, a middle aged man stepping in. "Fred, what's up?" "Logan Smith, how do you do?" He smiled and both men exchanged compliments. Becky, on the other hand, stole glances at the young man. She could have sworn he had blue eyes. A dazzling smile remained on his lips as he spoke to Fred. He was handsome to Becky, and not in a complimentary way, but in an exciting manner. She needed to speak with him. Normally, Becky wasn't an outspoken person, but she had been trying.

My Childhood Friend Stole My New House

My Childhood Friend Stole My New House

"Don't call the police. Don't fight. It's all a misunderstanding." Willa smiled as she tried to calm him down. She then walked over to me and gave me a look. "Ryan, what are you doing here? Come on in. You're just in time. You're lucky enough to catch our family gathering." I frowned in confusion. Before I could even ask what was going on, her boyfriend, Sebastian Judd, leaned against the doorframe and spoke in a mocking tone. "Willa, is your childhood friend really that persuasive?" Willa paused, turned around, and winked at him.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you're looking for DS games that are perfect for kids, I'd start with 'Animal Crossing: Wild World'. It's such a cozy, charming game where you can build your own little town, make friends with adorable animal villagers, and decorate your house. The pace is relaxed, and there's no pressure—just pure creativity and exploration. My niece spent hours fishing, collecting fruit, and designing patterns for clothes. It's great for nurturing imagination and patience.

Another gem is 'Mario Kart DS'. The controls are simple, the races are exciting, and the multiplayer mode is a blast. Even younger kids can pick it up quickly thanks to the optional steering assist. Plus, who doesn't love the thrill of hitting someone with a blue shell right before the finish line? For puzzle lovers, 'Professor Layton and the Curious Village' is fantastic. The brain teasers are engaging but not too hard, and the story feels like a playful mystery novel.
