I stood barefoot on the balcony of the villa—Aaron’s villa, I’d found out earlier—and cradled a mug of something too sweet. The kind of drink Gianna made when she didn’t know what to say, just that you needed warmth.

ISLA’S POV It feels as though London did not welcome me, because why is it so cold? The city was filled with people, and trains were moving so fast. It was as if it had no time for a woman whose heart had just been broken because she left the love of her life continents away. By the time I stepped out of the black car Lucan had arranged for me. I stood before the tall building he had called his temporary residence. The doorman opened the door and ushered me in. “Welcome, Miss Campbell.”

I heard his hard voice but I wasn't able to control myself from not screaming that's why I went on screaming like the child I am. My eyes went closed then I feel something over my lips. When I think about London, I always remember its castles and the greatest Architecture in the world. New York City and London have nothing in common except for tall buildings and yes, there is one more thing, my life as a slave

“I expected you to arrive later in the evening.” “I managed to talk Javier into buying me lunch,” London said, pulling down her skimpy sweater.
