… LONDON It was a busy street of London. A shop was still lighted up even it was past 9’o’ clock. A woman wearing sleeveless tank top and high waisted shorts showing her long legs. She switched off the shop lights one by one and then put on her trench coat, locked the shop door and then held her umbrella in her hands and walked to the right side street.

It took a minute of searching before she recognized the name—Londons. London's pub was even scarier during the daytime when it was used as a makeshift camp for druggies and homeless people. Jade dashed from the taxi across the nearly empty parking lot, getting soaked by the rain in the process. She wrinkled her nose at the stench of earth and urine as she hurried into her car and quickly locked the doors behind her. She used a dry piece of her sleeve to wipe droplets of water from her face before starting the engine.

"Breaking down firewalls, and codes was not easy. But once we got past it, what we found was truly gut wrenching and honestly sickening. "So, we know about the fires, but not much else was really able to shed on them, until......" Kait tapped her phone and first environment changed before us. It was how she remembered London, before it was attacked. "London, 1702." Before everyone was a beautiful pasture of green, with strong Oak trees dotted around her home. And the wooden steps that were raised slightly so that it created a dirt pathway to her immaculate Victorian style house, that was just a single story.

He looked up and saw that he was underneath some sort of rotting bridge, and he scrambled into the shadows, recessing further and further back. Finally, he could breathe again, and slowly opened his eyes. He took stock of his surroundings, and could tell right away that he was in London. He was, in fact, under the London Bridge, a bridge he could recognize anywhere. He looked up and saw the rotting wood underneath it, saw the huge, stone foundations on the other side, saw the parade of boats passing through the Thames. He recessed further, deeper underneath the bridge, and rats scurried to get out of his way. Deeper and darker in the shadows, he was beginning to feel more like himself.

London baby, I have arrived! As Edmund and I sit in the back of the chauffeur driven car, my face is plastered to the window as I take in this new city that is now my home. There's so much to take in: it's incredible how one place can have so much vibrancy, multiculturalism, and a cosmopolitan edge all at once: the sky scraper buildings, glamourous clothes shops filling the high streets, the internationally renowned restaurants, the parks, the double deckers, the black cabs. And then there's the history: Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, the London Eye, 10 Downing Street, the Tower Bridge, the Great Fire, Barbican Arts Gallery. This city is truly a perfect blending

London wasn’t exactly what Ru had imagined it would be. In her mind, it was the hauntingly beautiful, foggy world of Dickens and Peter Pan. In reality, it was a lot like every other noisy, crowded city she’d ever visited, although some of the architecture was unlike anything she’d ever imagined. Perhaps if she’d had more time to actually visit some of the touristy places, she’d have come away with a different impression, but for now, she would rather read about the capital of Great Britain than actually visit.

CHAPTER ONE Unforgotten Janice gazed through the window of the tinted glass of the land rover as it sped past the busy London street. It was a wet evening in London; the streetlights decorated the street like satellites dotted across the galaxy. The lights from the apartment's windows made it even better- the view was simply breathtaking! This is one of the many things Janice loved about London; aside from the weather, the tea and cake, especially St. Lauren's tea shop is the absolute best!

London’s dawn had always promised a certain anonymity. The city was a web of lives, each one secreted away in its corner, and Isabella Hart had once found peace in that noise. But now, as she pushed open the door to her apartment, sleep-deprived and raw from another night of strategizing with Lily, she felt exposed in a way she never had before.

"I suppose no place in London is truly safe, which is why no woman should walk the streets alone, especially in the evening." Her gaze grew distant for a moment. "It is a mistake I will not make again." Then she looked down at her book. "Next question, my lord." Well, he'd tried. Perhaps a more circuitous route was required to win her trust. "What book are you reading?" He nodded at the tome she'd set aside. "Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations." "Truly?" He blinked at her. Most men he knew couldn't finish that book, and he'd never given much thought to whether a woman would read it. Not that he didn't think a woman could manage it, just that it was so bloody boring

(Julian’s Point of View) The rain in London didn’t fall like the rain in New York. In Manhattan, it was a challenge, a percussive strike against the pavement. In London, it was a pervasive, lingering grey mist that seeped into the marrow of the buildings and the bones of its inhabitants.
