LUNE
“Goodnight, Lune.”
Lune woke up in the middle of the night, feeling the emptiness beside her where Arlo usually slept. She blinked, her eyes adjusting to the darkness, but when she reached out, her hand only met the cool sheets. A wave of confusion washed over her, and she sat up, glancing around the room. The shadows stretched long across the floor, and the quiet of the night seemed unsettling.
“Arlo?” she called softly, her voice barely above a whisper, hoping he was just somewhere nearby.
