Adeline whispered, holding his arm. “Just stop, Adeline. You don’t know anything! You don’t know how I lived all these years! For sixteen years, I’ve had to kill and stab the longing in my heart for my mom, dad, and Gavin. I’ve tried so many times to forget — but how can I? No matter how many people are around me, no matter how many friends I have… I always feel alone.” Jason’s voice cracked as he turned his face away, trying to hide his tears. “Jason…” Adeline murmured, hugging him tightly. She could feel exactly what he was feeling.

He smirked. Instantly it felt as if my heart had fallen to my stomach as I remembered exactly who Carter was. "Seems like you do" he jus kept laughing, as if it was a joke or something, as if whatever he was doing was something to be proud of. "Well... I don't know how much you know of this but, your beloved Jason had to leave his home, his friends and lastly, you, because of Mr Reynolds... why? Because, you don't cross Carter, that's a fact," he paused sounding a lot more serious.

I have a really bad sinking feeling in my stomach. A loud, horrifying scream comes from down the hall. We all take off running. And what I see in the back hallway near our servers will haunt me for the rest of my life. Jason is lying in the furthest corner of the hallway, his arms are cut from his wrists to his elbows and even from here, through all the blood, I can see that something shiny, probably silver is wedged into the wound. He is slumped and you can see on his face he clearly suffered.

When my mom ran in, I didn't have the strength to move anymore. She saw me lying on the floor, my wrist soaked in blood. She completely panicked. "Kevin!" She lunged forward and scooped me up. Her hands were shaking as she pressed down on my wound. Her voice trembled. "Stay awake! Look at me! Open your eyes!" But I couldn't hear her anymore. My hearing aid had fallen out when I fell. I could see her lips moving. I could see the color draining from her face. And in that moment, I felt so tired. More tired than on any single day in the last three years.

On the other hand, Aspen's mind went blank as she feared Jason was actually losing to Andrew. Finley's expression turned ugly, almost grotesque. He thought, 'Damn it, is Jason going to meet the same fate as that hunchbacked old man?' Winston frowned. "Mr. Lowell, what's going on? Get up and finish him for me!" The searing pain from his severed tendon was more than any ordinary person could bear. Even Jason felt dizzy from the agony. Upon hearing Winston's command, Jason immediately shouted, "Mr. Wright, be careful! This guy is hiding his true strength! His abilities are definitely beyond my—"

Stella asked turning back to the sweet angel that she is. "No, we don't want to bother you. We will get going. We will call for the cab" Mandy said. Jason came downstairs dressed in his full-hand grey T-shirt and black jeans. He looked at us and went to the kitchen without saying a word. "who's that?" Reeva asked. Jason came back with a can of apple juice and replied to Reeva before I could answer her. "Jason Brown" he shook hands with Reeva and Mandy. "Nice meeting you. I'm Mandy and this is Reeva."

Richard buries his head in shame as he can't process what he had just seen. He rushes out to his room. Jason is discomposed. His eyes are filled with tears just as my eyes were, when I was his wife. Indeed, it's time to take revenge.

Leon asked and Jason went quiet, letting the question roll off him as the rest discussed. Work? He was not sure if he still had a job. Jason rubbed his temples and drowned his wine. His mind was suddenly hazy. This confused him as he had not drunk too much. At that moment, he felt his chest go heavy. His leg hurts and he found himself in a slightly dark place. "Jason, Jason wake up," he heard a familiar voice say. He opened his eyes slightly to see Marcus' face covered in dirt. All Jason felt was pain in his leg. He realized he was trapped under rubble.

I could hear his heart skip before beating faster, and my lips tugged up. This time, I was much calmer as I drove back to the job site. But when I pulled in, I groaned and dragged my hand down my face. Jason is dangling upside down with a rope around his ankle, wiggling and screaming for someone to let him down. “Do I even want to ask?” I said, looking up at my men as I approached. “You don't want to know what he did,” Keith said casually. “Will you tell them to let me down!” Jason pleaded.
