Natalia "Out tonight?" Gail, my ride-or-die roommate, purred from the bathroom door of our dorm, giving me those puppy dog eyes she knew I couldn't resist. But resist I must. I was booked tonight, a date of the blind variety, with some faceless guy I'd met online. "Remember? Online guy. Serial killer enthusiast?" I reminded her. Gail’s dark hair was tied up in a bun, ready to hit the town or any frat party on the menu. She pouted, making her green eyes look all sad and shit.

Crying, whining, not doing my duties. Nobody looked impressed as I stood on the stage in front of them, a microphone which I had to bend to speak into in front of me. “Good morning, everyone.” They gave sparse murmurs as responses. Some of them scoffed at me. My eyes found Selena’s in the crowd, but I looked away as fast as I had found her. “I’m Athena, as you may all know. The Luna of Crimson pack.” More scoffs, louder mumbles. Luna? Yeah, right.

Oh! "A decent number of seven years, seeking all around the domain for the other half of his heart, but now, our Alpha had already found his destined mate," he continued, introducing me. "Bonded by the moon goddess, and have claimed each other during the full moon. Now, let us welcome Aria Summersault, a missing piece that will now complete the pack. Finally, our Luna." I tried not to raise my brows throughout the host's lengthy introduction and stood up with a smile. My knees had turned to jelly, but thankfully Kaia's took possession of my body and fill-in my strength.

The air inside the medical tent at the Moonhaven Coast arena smelled of cheap copper, stale sweat, and ozone. Outside, the roar of ten thousand spectators vibrated right through the canvas walls, shaking the metal tray of surgical steel instruments beside Agnes Vance’s hand. Another heavy bass drop from the arena’s sound system thudded in her chest. "Hold still, Maeve," Agnes muttered, her voice tight as she pressed a sterile gauze pad against her kin-sister’s split eyebrow.

I replied, a small smile crossing my lips. As long as it wasn’t anything that could hurt him, I would willingly wait until he told me what he was hiding. A few minutes later, we were done, and Jade walked towards us, clapping. “That was awesome… you two are going to make a beautiful couple next week. I can’t wait for you to be our official Luna, Luna,” Jade said and chuckled. Rowan coiled an arm around my waist and pecked my cheek. “Yeah… she’s going to be my one and only official Luna.”

The mark on my shoulder pulsed under moonlight. Not pain, something worse. It whispered my name in a tongue I’d never learned. “Do you hear it too?” Dax asked, voice shaking. I nodded. The Moon wasn’t speaking to me anymore. It was commanding me. Lira entered the war chamber in crimson, not mourning. “The Luna throne sits empty,” she purred. “And the Alpha hesitates. Perhaps I should rule.” The elders didn’t laugh. They listened. She smiled at Vaeron, then looked at me. This wasn’t politics.

I can’t say I don’t understand; I’m just like them. I feel my brow rise questioningly when I notice how Beast and Lia stare at each other silently. I have to admit, now that I’m seeing them both together I’m honestly shocked at how much they look alike. Since Lia dyed her hair ash blonde, it’s almost impossible to differentiate her from Luna Kingston. The only difference between them is the color of their eyes. I can see that I’m not the only one who notices their similarity, since even Leo and Blake look shocked. They could easily pass for sisters!

It was the kid who got thrown on our table the other day. "You know them?" asked the girl. Like Loki, this kid is quite famous. Her name is Bee, probably the prettiest girl around. And she is one of those girls who are obsessed with feminism. She hates men so much that she sends any guy partnered with her to the infirmary in seconds during our self-defense lessons.

I know Bryer told me the truth and I still love her regardless, I just want to know how possible it was that Malachi was able to get mated to Odette when he had a mate. Groaned Aaron, while his eyes gazing into mine. “What makes you stop, then?” I said to him, trying to challenge him, but he retreated abruptly, even though I’ve already felt the excitement bulging in his pants. “Not right now. The teams are going to make a party for our new mate. I need to help with the preparation.” He said to me with a grin on his face. “He is right!” Said Zephyr from behind Aaron. “Barbecue party, tonight, wear something simple, and not too revealing. I don’t want them ogling at you for the entire night.”
