Broad shoulders, thick dark fur that shimmered under the moonlight, a body strong enough to break trees and his eyes Silver. The same silver from her dreams. Aria’s lips parted.

Maybe he prioritized her over convenience. The thought sent fresh pain through the bond, accompanied by ember magic that flickered with unstable patterns around his disheveled form. How had this happened? How had the notorious shadow lord—the "war-happy tyrant" whose reputation for ruthless pragmatism extended across all territories—proven more capable of valuing fate's gift than the heir to House Holt? A soft knock at his study door interrupted these spiraling thoughts. "Enter," he called, expecting another servant with routine business he would probably ignore.

But it could also kill everyone in the hall, friend and foe alike. The heir caught his eye, as if sensing his hesitation. “If you have something, now’s the time, Shadow Heir.” The name hit like a hammer. Not whispered, not hidden—spoken in the open, with every soldier and assassin within earshot. The Creed leader, a tall man with a raven-feather clasp at his cloak, laughed from across the hall. “So the rumors were true. The last of the Shadowblood walks among them.” His blade rose, pointing at Eolan. “Take him alive.”

I replied. He nodded in understanding. "Ni pukha!" "K chortu," I muttered, accepting his good wish. Alpha Lance called for silence and led the pack in a series of religious chants, the words reverberating in the cold night air. When he dismissed them, the group dispersed, bodies twisting and bones snapping as they shifted into their beast forms. Sasha gave me one last pat on the back before following the others.

Golden arrows slowly emerged, timidly trying to chase away the shadows of the night. The great fire disc made its appearance. First, it emerged as a red line growing wider and wider until it rose victorious into the angelic blue sky, ready to stretch its arms over the whole earth. It tamed its color slightly, becoming comforting as it shyly soaked up the night frost with which you would think it was soothing its own color.

Purple light exploded from her chest, forming a wall between Damian and the Warlord’s claws. The claws hit the wall and shattered. Bone splinters flying. The Warlord stared. “Impossible. No queen can—” Luna grabbed his throat. Not with hands. With power. Silver vines wrapped his throat. Red thorns pierced his skin. And in between, purple light poured into him, showing him every memory of every wolf he’d killed, every slave he’d chained. He collapsed, weeping. “Forgive me, Majesty.” “Yield,” Luna said again.

She was like a vampire, hungrily draining my blood. I did not even think twice. I booted her off me like she was nothing but a dirty old rag. She sprawled by the door, panting like she had run a marathon. Her voice raspy as she cackled at me, "Bet you didn't see this coming, huh? His see-through form turned a deep red, his eyes glowing with a fiery rage as he fixed his gaze on the key and the factory contract in my hand.
