The Silver Pact
A massive wave of dark, corrupted cosmic shadow magic erupted from his skin not the warm, starry shadow he usually wielded, but a cold, poisonous void that turned the stone floor beneath his boots to ash.
He slowly stood up to his full, towering height. He drew the dark, corrupted broadsword at his hip, a blade forged from necrotic shadow and turned to face me. His hollow violet eyes locked onto mine without a single trace of emotion.
"Gideon... please..." I whispered, my voice trembling as I took a half-step back, my heart pounding against my ribs. "It’s me. It’s Lyra."
Gideon didn't answer. He raised the dark broadsword, pointing the blade directly at my heart.
