"It's such a modern apartment. So pretty" I lean on the wall after locking the front door and put my hands in my pockets. "Oh! Alex, isn't this the swan figure I gifted you years ago?" she asked grabbing the white swan from near the TV table. I hummed staring at her. Lily had grown to look such a beauty, It angered me to think she was so close to being snatched away from me and married off to a fucking asshole.

I was in search of a mountain Lily and a purple vine lotus. The mountain Lily sure would be hard to get around here because we are surrounded by trees and the mountains are far off in the distance. I didn't know why I hadn't thought of that till now. I was sniffing around to check if I could find the purple vine lotus. It has an intoxicating scent like that of a spring flower mixed with paint. I was picking up a scent but it wasn't of the plant I was in search of, it was a scent of something old and ancient, something familiar. I followed the scents deep into the forest and when I found the source, I was shocked at what I discovered.

"Explain." The word rushed out of me before anyone even breathed, and I scanned Levi's face instantly—looking for jealousy or pettiness, or some kind of possessive rage. None. Just seriousness. Evan burst out, "This is a flower that grows deep in the forests of the northern continent! Constant exposure to the scent causes hallucinations—kills a person slowly through madness!" He grabbed the entire basket and hurled it outside the tent. "It's called a Lotus Bud."

It was breathtaking, the sound was divine and it was exactly what I needed to lift what spirits. There were a few caves around and the whole place was green with life, rich flowers grew at the sides and I swallowed hard when I saw a lotus. We explore the gardens, stopping to smell the flowers on more occasions. My eyes notice a muddy swamp across the field, and I go there, noting some familiar flowers, though not so many. My smile broadened when I realized it had lotus flowers. "Nicholas, lotus flowers! Like the ones you give me," I point to the swamp excitedly. "Are they your favorite flowers?" "No, but they remind me of you?" he says. I furrow my eyebrows at him, confounded. How so?"
