Romans & histoires Moon Flowers

Running in heels isn't that difficult, I must say. I held a small box in my hand wrapped with some shiny paper and yellow ribbon on top, the birthday girl's favorite color. The only present that I could afford for her was this handmade pendant that was her name molded with metal wire, with a rose quartz shaped as a crescent Moon, fixed on the top of her name's last 'A'.

Contained in the pool of light was a simple rustic table with a long golden box placed upon it, stood on top of the box was a small vase containing a single white flower, its petals closed giving the impression it was sleeping. Brother Andrew saw Annie staring at the flower. “Ipomoea alba.” he said quietly. Annie frowned at him questioningly. “Or more commonly known as the Moonflower, it only blooms at night, its petals open when the moon rises.” he explained. “It is said that Menai wore them in her hair.”

"I'll get to the point. What herbs were you looking for?" "Moonflower. It's a flower that only blooms when the moon is out. Its petals are bright and attract fireflies." Alan asked some more questions after that, but he wasn't able to find any holes in Olivia's story. "I apologize for what happened before this, Dr. Ophelia. Mr. Maxwell is a little quick-tempered. You'll be rewarded handsomely if you heal him." Olivia frowned. "I don't care for any rewards. I just want to be set free. Who are you people?"

All of them glowed like captured moonlight in various bioluminescent shades and tones. "These flowers," he explains proudly, "are the product of generations of careful engineering. They are hybrid varieties of various Moon Flowers. These flowers are special to the Moon Goddess herself. If you find one growing in your garden, the story goes, she is granting you her favor. In the outside world, these flowers are very rare. On this island, about a third of the surface is dotted with one variety or another. "

Ameliah asked…. He continued staring at his palm, there was a crescent carved on it. He showed it to Ameliah who stared at it confused… “What’s that thing?” Ameliah asked… “This signifies that the blue moon is near. When this crescent that’s carved in my palm will be full that’s the day of the blue moon” He explained. Ameliah stared at him with a surprise expression. She cupped his cheeks which made him to look at her… “Everything will be fine Stephen, you’ll save your people. I have faith in you” Ameliah said..

He raised his head at Matt at the alarming question raised. "That should be this full moon." Alpha Andrea finally answered even with Fiona's intent to intrude, I smirked behind my puffy face from the food I was trying hard to masticate. "Oh I see, that is perfect timing, the season of the Moon Goddess, blessing the Aloha and his Luna, we could have what such auspicious date, but we're so engrossed in each other that as a common Gemma and Omega we choose a normal day." Matt let out his hand scrolling through his phone and Alpha Andrea's eyes were red, and the redness I could see calming to purple anytime soon.

King Regor’s trusted aide bowed in affirmation as he followed behind the king to patrol the palace walls that is directly across the venue of the worship ritual. The vast space of the square in front of the palace is decorated with moonveil flowers and moon lanterns. It is said that the Moon goddess could not find any flower that fully depicts the ethereal elegance of the moon, so she created the moonveil flowers with silver stems and circular reflective petals that would fully capture every phases of the moon’s beauty. It is named as moonveil because not even the thick clouds could veil the reflection of the moon in their petals. There is a huge cauldron at the center that is being roasted

LILA Evening spread across the Packhouse in wide strokes of silver and blue. The air cooled, I stayed in the garden with Mara, the ground beneath us soft from the day’s work. The moon climbed slow over the ridge, pale and full, washing the rows in light that turned every leaf into glass. The crescent beds glimmered as if carved from frost. I knelt beside the central circle with the last pouch of seeds and loosened the drawstring. “These open only under moonlight,” I said, holding out the small white kernels. “Moonwort and night jasmine. They bloom when others sleep.”

Moonflowers are a rare herb used mainly for their healing properties against wolfbane poisoning. "Morana, we should head back," my best friend Hazel called out from behind me. "We still haven't found anything, Hazel," I said. "We need at least two flowers for the assignment tomorrow, in case you forgot." "Fuck the assignment, it's scary out here," Hazel said, walking towards me. I rolled my eyes at her and shook my head. "We might have found it if you didn’t whine so much." I mumbled as my eyes continued scanning the bushes for any sign of moonflower leaves. She groaned and began searching.

After Ryan left yesterday, I spent the entire day drawing and labeling each ingredient we’ll need for the antidote, including the rare flower the healers told me is probably gone forever. While researching the Moonlight Fire Lily, I found that it only blooms in full moonlight as well as only blooming in the wild. The image in Sarina’s plant species book was orange and red with hints of yellow at the tips of the petals, making it bright and hopefully easy to locate.
