My body was pushed to its limit time and time again, but I didn't quit. “Let’s see who the real culprit is.” Across the distance, Luca looked straight at me. A faint smile curled at the corner of my lips, barely there... but satisfying as I watched real terror flicker in his eyes while he fought to keep his face calm. Louis to tremble while Kelly looked like she had seen a ghost. "W-we are s-sorry, s-sir." Mr. Louis stuttered, scratching the back of his neck in the process as he refused to raise his head up. "Shut that trap. Sorry isn't going to cut it for my daughter-in-law, who almost got killed under your own roof." Don Luciano bellowed and I rolled my eyes, trying to figure out if he was putting on a show to make people think he cared about me. But he didn't do that when Ria died, he was so fucking nonchalant, and yet, I was almost killed, and he was terrorizing these people.

I settled for a ten-minute break - that way fighting wouldn't catch up with us and hopefully neither would anyone else, but we'd still regain hopefully enough energy to carry on for another hour. Jesus, I must be far, far drunker than I thought. He holds his hand out. “I’m Lucas Craven.” I just stare at him. He gives me a puzzled look and starts to move his hand away. He just chuckled; a fact that brought me even closer to Louis. "Oh, do you know Bruno Mars, John Mayer, and Beyonce? I produced several of their records, girl.” "Hmm, okay?” I said still not understanding before turning to Louis for answers. "I asked him for a favor, babe,” my husband explained excitedly. “But August said he needed to hear you live first.” “First for what?” I insisted, though I think I knew where he was headed with all of this. "Oh, to make you my next star, of course,” said the fake CeeLo. “I have heard your voice thanks to Louis, but I need to live it live to achieve that connection, do you understand?”

Beside him stood Standfast, a bit shorter but no less imposing, with a sneer playing on his lips. Standfast, around nineteen, had a more rugged demeanor compared to Phillip. His face, while not conventionally handsome, bore the marks of someone who had seen their fair share of trouble. He had a solid build, indicating a readiness for action rather than words. His eyes held a steely intensity, hinting at a volatile temperament kept in check only by Phillip's presence.

Lucian POV The TV screen in the corner was still on. My face was frozen on the screen, a picture from a draft camp that felt like it was from another lifetime. Nobody was moving. The only sound was the ventilation system humming in the background. Miller's hand was still up, his finger pointing at the screen. His knuckles were white from gripping his hockey stick. He slowly turned his head towards me. "Lucian," Miller said, his voice really quiet. It was not like his loud voice in the locker room. "Tell me this is some kind of mistake."

WIlliam told Addy and then he noticed that Lily called him “Baby, Lily called me. So, let’s talk again later, okay?” “Okay!” Addy said shortly and William ended the call ------- “James, how’s the interrogation?” Luke asked him “Someone asked them to get rid of you, Mr Miller,” James said carefully “Who?” Luke asked “Allan Rivera,” “Allan?” Luke was taken aback, he knew him, he is Martin’s business competitor. He met him couple times previously and he somehow couldn’t believe it that Allan did this “Yes, Mr Miller. It is Mr Rivera,” James reassured him
