Even when she was out of breath, there was still no exit sign. There was fear in Lucy's eyes, and she pursed her lips, about to burst into tears again. "Where am I... Lady Jessica, idiot Casper, where have you all gone... I—I want to go home..." Little Lucy, who now appeared like a fifteen-year-old girl, desperately wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes. Finally, after weeping a few times, she squatted on the ground, hugging her knees and crying. "Mama?" he whimpered, clutching onto his stuffed toy Lucy bought him for his second birthday tightly. "It's okay, baby," I assured him as I scooped him up in my arms, holding him close. "There's a fire. The forest is on fire!" I yelled to Lucy who still looked like she was half asleep. When the word fire pushed out of my lips, Lucy's eyes widen and she finally looked more alert. She rushed over to the window to observe the disaster that was happening outside.

Hart looked at the message on his mobile phone. You have 12 hours. For several seconds, he didn't move. Then another came along. "Mine are darker in the middle and lighter around the edges." "Mine too," he said. That was apparently sufficient. She accepted the information and immediately moved on.

My eyes drank in her form and I was reminded once more how long her legs were. A throat being cleared brought my out of my daze and I looked up to see Lucy barely suppressing a grin, and a petite blonde dressed in hotel livery with a room service cart. The blonde was quite short and slim, but she had startling blue eyes and an incredibly pretty face. She looked to Lucy then back to me, then I saw her baby blues lowered and she gasped. "Might want to cover up Jason," Lucy said with a sly grin. I looked down and realized what the girl was looking at.

Emma Ninety-six hours and fifty minutes had passed. Emma was locked up in that same bedroom belonging to her captor. Her eyes were fixed on a certain spot on the white ceiling. They were dull, as if they belonged to a dead person. Dull and lifeless. They shed no more tears; they had dried up, and the traces of them were now parched on her cheeks.

The front door clicked open, and Lucy stepped inside the house. Her limbs felt heavy from the emotional weight of the last twenty-four hours. She kept her hand on the doorknob for a long moment, drawing a steady breath. She closed her eyes, trying to hold onto the warmth of Jonathan. For a few brief hours, she had felt like a real person again. "Lucy! Oh, thank goodness you are home!" her mother’s voice called out from the dining room. Before Lucy could even take off her coat, her mother hurried into the hallway. Her face was flushed with excitement, and she was tightly clutching a pair of metal kitchen scissors.

Robin goes back to his room, and closed the door behind him. No point in talking about it.” Lucy packed her belongings and they plan on moving to the main house tomorrow. During the evening, she sat by the window, watching the evening sky.

He looked at Evelyn's chest. "Your first memory." Evelyn's heart stopped. "My first memory?" Lucian nodded. "The one nobody was supposed to see." The ground cracked. A massive silver eye opened beneath them. Evelyn grabbed Lucian. "Run!" They ran. The eye followed. Everywhere they stepped, the ground disappeared. Lucian pulled Evelyn through a collapsing doorway. They fell into a familiar room. Evelyn froze. It was her old bedroom. The one from before everything changed.
