"There's a fire. The forest is on fire!" I yelled to Lucy who still looked like she was half asleep. When the word fire pushed out of my lips, Lucy's eyes widen and she finally looked more alert. She rushed over to the window to observe the disaster that was happening outside.

He showed the picture to them. "I see determination." He retrieved yet another. Lucy, carrying weights of textbooks as she walks across campus. You come across an orphan. His voice became louder and louder. I see a woman who wouldn't give up. Another photograph. Lucy is smiling at the customer and is clearly tired from her work. There is somebody below me. Hart's eyes lifted. I think I have spotted someone who deserves everything she gets. The room went as still as a still night. The directors themselves appeared to be having thoughts as well.

Lucy stared at him for a second. Then she said, matter-of-factly, "You have the same eyes as me." Silence fell. I heard Aiden take a slow, deep breath. "I noticed that too," he said, his voice still slightly unsteady. Lucy considered this very seriously. She studied his eyes, then his hands, before reaching a conclusion. "Mine are darker in the middle and lighter around the edges." "Mine too," he said. That was apparently sufficient. She accepted the information and immediately moved on.

My eyes drank in her form and I was reminded once more how long her legs were. A throat being cleared brought my out of my daze and I looked up to see Lucy barely suppressing a grin, and a petite blonde dressed in hotel livery with a room service cart. The blonde was quite short and slim, but she had startling blue eyes and an incredibly pretty face. She looked to Lucy then back to me, then I saw her baby blues lowered and she gasped. "Might want to cover up Jason," Lucy said with a sly grin. I looked down and realized what the girl was looking at.

Emma Ninety-six hours and fifty minutes had passed. Emma was locked up in that same bedroom belonging to her captor. Her eyes were fixed on a certain spot on the white ceiling. They were dull, as if they belonged to a dead person. Dull and lifeless. They shed no more tears; they had dried up, and the traces of them were now parched on her cheeks.
