Maria was old-fashioned and liked her traditional ways, but Mia knew her mother loved her and would do anything for her. She says with a gentle smile. “I have waited five years to meet my mate. She will be treated with more love and care than she has ever been shown in her life.” He said. He doesn’t even realize what that meant for Thalia and Mia, considering their background. Mia comes forward, “Hello.” She says shyly. Alpha Luca steps forward and grabs Mia by the waist gently and pulls her to him, “Hello, my Luna.” He said and then he gently kissed her.

Fuck it. Mia let out an exasperated breath and took a chance. She tiptoed over that tightrope that bridged between fear and love. She let out all of her terror too and whispered, “Yes.” Jax’s love was a resurrection. And each kiss—each loving whisper—made her happy to be alive again. This whole plan was probably the craziest shit yet but she would do it with Jax. So far, he’d been the only man in her life that had shown her that he really cared for her. She had to give him a chance. Her heart felt good with him. Her body throbbed for him. Her spirit revived with him.
