Lucia ducked, getting on the window sill. “Olive?” she asked, except that did not look like the usually calm head matron of the midwives association. She was snarling at Lucia like prey. She looked closer to wolf than any of the humanoids we had fought in the past few weeks. Lucia was not bothered. She skid out of her office and slid down the wall, landing in a donkey roll. Her gun aimed and shot Olive’s knees. The woman slid off the ground and landed in front of Lucia.
