Chapter Four. AINA (Werewolf Realm) May 1st 2026. It wasn't just a headache. It was a full scale invasion of my skull. He’s still mulling over this when the door opens. Lucia comes out in pajamas. They’re made of dark silk that shouldn’t look that tempting but does, with her hair down and a panicked expression on her face. She’s holding her phone out before she’s fully through the door, holding the screen toward him. He reads the message on the screen. He keeps his face doing nothing and his expression calm, but something behind it does move, something that was already alert becomes more specifically alert. “Have you gotten anything like this before?” he asks.

The following morning, Ava sat across from Lucia, both of them hunched over a laptop filled with firewalls and flashing lines of code.
