I quickly adjusted my clothes and went to the door.
Philip was talking to Larry.
When Larry saw me, he gave me a thumbs-up.
"Yvonne, your husband is really something. He's patient, hardworking, and honest. People like him are hard to find. You should appreciate him!"
Larry's words made me feel a pang of guilt.
He was right; Philip was indeed a hardworking, honest man.
He could easily live off the rent we collected, but instead, he worked hard as a truck driver to make more money and provide us a better life.
