By this time, Lucky had fallen asleep while watching her cartoon. While Luke excused himself to go to his friends, Camila took Lucky to bed. Despite the day’s sad beginning, it seemed that God planned for other good things as now she was the owner of a big house. This should call for a celebration but sadly she was all alone, so alone with no one to share this day with.

And won. I felt a strange itch, high up on my leg. I put my hand in my pocket, and scratched. That was when I felt the rabbit's foot - the red rabbit's foot, the magical item I had brought home from the dragon's treasure. It was smooth, and oddly warm to the touch - probably from my body heat. It was comforting, though, to roll it between my fingers.

Pressed her face into my chest. Lydia smiled. It didn't reach her eyes. "Hello, Liyana. I'm Lydia. I'm here to talk to your mommy." Liyana didn't look at her. "I like your rabbit " Lydia said. "Does he have a name?" Liyana mumbled something into my shirt. "Bunny " I said. "Her name is Bunny." "Bunny." Lydia wrote something on her clipboard. "Liyana do you know why I'm here?" Liyana shook her head without lifting it.

Being able to hear Lecy speak felt even more unbelievable. "Wait!" Elena pointed at him. "Did you just say magical rabbit?" Her voice rose in disbelief. "So you're not an ordinary rabbit?" The excitement in her voice made her momentarily forget why she had come here in the first place. Lecy laughed again then, patiently, he began explaining everything, the truth about what had happened all those years ago... The day Elena thought he had died. According to Lecy, he had never actually died because as a magical rabbit, he possessed abilities ordinary creatures didn't have and one of those abilities allowed him to hold his breath for hours at a time.

So he wasn’t willing to make the atmosphere lighter and cheerier. Soon they came across their first Magical Beast. It was a Low Class Magical Beast called Furry Rabbit. It was a cute creature, and Lily’s eyes sparkled once she saw it. She subconsciously tried to approach the beast, but Mane stopped her. Although she gave off an aura that was calming and soothing, it wasn’t safe for Lily to approach the little creature. Unlike Red Maned Horses which could be tamed, many Magical Beasts like the Furry Rabbit were naturally violent.

Sebastian called the lawyer for an urgent meeting at his home. He couldn’t wait until the next day; he was too excited, almost vibrating with the adrenaline of his discovery. Richard entered the office, adjusting his glasses. “You sounded anxious on the phone.” Sebastian smiled slowly, like a predator who had finally caught the scent of victory. He filled two glasses with a whiskey he rarely took off the shelf and handed one of them to his lawyer and accomplice. “Luck smiled on me,” he confessed quietly, trembling that someone might hear the secret.

She touched the spot that L kissed and felt butterflies in her stomach. Damn. What magic has L casted in her to make feel this way? “Why are your eyes like that, Patrice?” Patrick asked her as they walked to his car. “Yeah, Patrice, why do you have the eyes of a panda?” L asked. Patrick raised his brow at L. “Hey, you. Are you courting my sister?” He asked. L’s eyes widened and bowed. “Yes, sir!” He beamed politely. I couldn't stop the tears from rolling down my face. "How did this happen? Did you take advice you shouldn't have?" the woman asked at last, her voice scratchy like sandpaper. "My older sister told me to leave this place and never return…" I confessed. "That's an old trick." She snorted. "Still works after a decade, huh?" "What?" I peered at her through my tears. She crouched beside me and told me everything without pause. Over ten years ago, a classmate of hers had lured her into this settlement to become a rabbit-woman. At first, she believed her kidnapper had meant to marry her off, but in truth, a much worse fate than marriage awaited her.

She tells me that I am a girl on an important journey, and that there are depths to me that I have yet to discover. So far, all of that is true, although it’s probably true of nearly everyone in this mall. Maybe Sarah was right, and this was a waste. But then, the old fortune teller flips over a card that makes her let out a small gasp, then go quiet. I lean over to look. The card is upside down, but it depicts a rabbit, skinny and tall and white, standing under a full moon. Its eyes are red, and its teeth are long. “This is an unusual card,” the old woman murmurs. “And especially rare to see inverted.”

Rayne nodded and turned to head towards the boys and the black dragons who were threatening their lives. Lucky: Running throw the garden towards the pack house: Lucky spotted a path into the garden. It looked like a straight shot to the front of the pack house. She knew that going down that path would get her to the group faster then going all the way around the garden. She took the path and began to run as fast as she could, all of a sudden she slammed into something so hard it sent her flying backwards.
