I could hardly wait to see her face. I pulled out a blindfold and covered her eyes.

Gertrude smiled with a twinkle in her eyes. "Ah. Well sometime I'd like to meet Samson," Lucy said, raising her eyebrows wondering what kind of man had held her aunt's heart that long. They had been seeing each other since high school. That was a long time. "Sure. In due time. Let's get back though, I have some artwork in my she-shed I need to finish up for a client. Gotta pay the bills you know." Gertrude winked. Lucy took some deep breaths as she drove them home. Both of them were quiet thinking about the morning's events. She pleaded. I sighed heavily as I started off with the books I filched from the librarian, the reading of a fairytale Lycan rule and the information I’d gathered. I told her about the raid and the family journals that Constable Myra had. With each word Lucy’s eyes got wider and wider, her gaze darting more to the window to see her mate patiently waiting outside. “My Goddess…” she finally whispered, her hand playing with the bracelet on her wrist. “It all makes sense.” I was more puzzled than ever as she sat there, neither of us talking. After another minute or two, Lucy finally spoke. “Adam’s a Lycan.”

Lucy whines as she meets me by my locker and I shake my head, shutting the vault and whirling around to meet her eyes. "There's something different about you, " she points out with narrowed eyes and I stare at her confused before glancing back at my body. I'm dressed in my usual school attire with my books in hand. What the fuck is she talking about? "What do you mean?" I ask and she drags her eyes down my body before meeting my gaze, and saying, "You're glowing differently. You do glow, always, but this one is different. It's like you are reborn, or something. " She says with cautious eyes and I laugh, knowing exactly what she means.

But I finally got the book off the ground and I managed to lift it up to my head height while I was sitting on the ground before I gently placed it back down. "That was a lot harder than I thought." I say.
