The air shimmered with his energy, and every pulse from the shard made Luca wince.
“We can’t keep this up forever,” Wolf said grimly.
“We don’t have to,” I said, teeth clenched. “We end it now.”
I pressed my forehead to Luca’s, drawing his focus inward. “Together. One shot. One strike. We end this. Not the club, not the Serpents—him.”
Luca nodded, energy flaring bright blue, merging with mine. The shard screamed, writhing, resisting, whispering threats, promises, and temptation. I gritted my teeth and forced our combined energy outward—pure, unrelenting, unstoppable.
