She unbuttoned two buttons on her chest and hiked up her skirt to reveal her mesmerizing long legs. Standing tall, she lightly knocked on the door. After a while, a husky voice came from inside, a seductive voice that sent shivers down her spine. Surprisingly, Chloe, who was initially calm and composed, felt a wave of nervousness rise within her. She silently cursed herself: What is there to be nervous about? It's just a small scheme to strip off his clothes!

It was suffocating, that I applaud them for this punishment. They won. I only wear a facade in front of Ayana, but I think I seriously forgot the fact that I'm royalty. Done with the silence.” He stood slowly. “What happened?” She laughed, bitter and raw. “You let Camille humiliate me in front of everyone. She claimed you like some trophy, and you just sat there. Didn’t defend me. Didn’t say a word.”

His voice carried through the silence, stern yet deliberate. “Do you accept your shame?” Her voice shook, but it was clear: “Yes.” The whip cracked, sharp, echoing against the walls. Her gasp turned into a moan. The room seemed to breathe with her, every sound amplified. I froze in the doorway, heat flooding my cheeks, my thighs pressing together. Shame curled low in my belly — not because of what I saw, but because of how much I wanted to be her. Cassandra’s lips brushed my ear again. “This is only the beginning, Evelyn. Shame here is not punishment. It is freedom.”

By the time she returned, breathless and trembling, Xavier had retreated to his own suite. Chloe slumped against the wall, a cold sweat breaking out across her forehead. Talk about losing face! she thought. Why had she even let those things stay in her possession? She finished the rest of her unpacking at lightning speed, scrubbed herself clean in a hot shower to wash away the embarrassment, and finally climbed into bed beside the sleeping Liam Jr., seeking the only peace the house offered.

Getting less than a hundred feet before my legs give, letting me roll under a parked car as the sounds of boots and radios follow me. Let go, or simply lose hold of the failing handle, that got me through yet another disaster in one piece.
