Alpha Damien’s Regret.
“Are you alright, Luna?”
I turned, startled. A young man stood there, tall, shadowed by the moonlight. He held a cigarette between two fingers, its tip glowing red.
“You can’t smoke here,” I said, my tone sharp. “Alpha Damien forbids it.”
The man smiled and shrugged. “I can smoke anywhere I want. Nothing ever happens to me.”
That response made me frown. His smile was easy, almost lazy. I didn’t like his confidence—or how much he amused me despite the strange dread curling inside me.
