Across the screen was a message from Luka. “I am sorry. I had to do this. Only one of us was going to be able to log out. The only way that I will be able to get out, is if I beat the game. I looked at him swiftly, baffled. “It was unpleasant but impressive. If she managed to get her back, I have a position for her,” Lucian emphasized.

The door opened with a bang and Luke walked in with Ryan and Mila's mate behind. "What the hell happened?? And why the fuck is your Luna standing there naked?!" I felt thunder from Luke's voice echo around the room and it made me chuckle, he has no idea what's coming his way. "Alpha… Luna, was… she has…" Tyrell stumbles over his words trying to explain, while casting his eyes away from me.

Our hopes were dashed, and the suffocating realization of being trapped settled over me like a heavy shroud. And then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw him. I growled loudly and tried shifting but stopped once I sensed someone coming toward me. It was Luka. He had a hard glare on his face as he watched me tentatively. “I’m sorry you had to leave the meeting, Alpha,” The warrior from earlier apologized and I turned to growl at him for calling Luka and stopping Mellissa from dying. “Stop growling!” Luka commanded. His harsh words affected Kris and she whimpered before moving away from him. Mellissa immediately fell to the floor and held Luka’s leg. “Help me, Luka. She is trying to kill me. I didn’t do anything at all. She charged towards me just because I said hi to her,” She lied, tears already rolling down her eyes. She was pretty good at acting
