Blood. Saul got up from his chair and quickly examined my hands. “It’s not mine” I said as looked frightened at Luke. Luke looked confused as he got up from the bed; “I’m fine” he said as the sheet fell down hanging on his hips. “The sheet” I almost screamed as the sheet was soaked in blood. Saul ran around the bed and looked at Luke’s back. “You didn’t attack him, right?” Saul asked me. “No of course not” I replied as I tried to get out of bed.

This might be his last day on earth. His head was still reeling from the concussion Lydo forced him to drink and it hurts really bad to move his limp. When he opened his mouth to speak, all he does was gasp and gasped like a fish out of water. Finally, he manages to squeeze out a few words. “What did you give me to drink?” Lydo puts up a fake smile. She brought her face closer to Lucas’ and whispered to him, “Dead werewolf’s blood. So tell me where Kora is and I will not give you some more to drink.”

Luke growls and charges at him. The last of them drops to the floor; limp and dead, his heart wrenched out of his ribcage. The florescent lights return, flooding the room, revealing the extent of the bloodbath. I blink against their sharp brightness. Luke looks more beast than man; his broad shoulders tight with tension, every inch of his chest and torso either covered by tattoos or blood. “Are you hurt?” He asks, his voice split into two, and I notice the presence of his wolf flickering bright yellow in his good eye.

Luca pushed the glass away, causing it to fall to the ground and the pieces shatter. "No!" he yelled, "water would not help Luke, they are doing something bad to her I can feel it. Luca cried out, his teeth gritting together as his face turned red with pain.

“No, I won’t die as long as I break every bone in your body!” Luka shouted and rushed at Juan. The captain frantically raised his gun and pulled the trigger at Luka. Bang, bang, bang! After three shots, blood gushed from Luka’s body as he fell straight to the floor. The bullet holes in his body glowed with a strange silver light before Luka’s body shrank and turned into a puddle. Juan picked up his glass and finished the whiskey. Although Luka was dead, Juan’s shock remained. He urgently needed a drink to calm down.

Cuts laced his arms, his ribs throbbed with every breath, and the spell-sickness—a creeping, nauseating fog that clung to his bones—made his vision spin. He coughed hard, a fleck of blood hitting the dirt. “Mara…” he rasped. Across the room, Mara shifted with a low grunt, her face pale and slick with sweat. Her silver hair was matted with dried blood, a nasty wound still weeping on her shoulder where a witch’s curse had clawed through armor and flesh. She turned her head slowly. “You’re alive.” “Barely,” Luka muttered. He winced as he sat up, arm cradled against his side. “Dante?”

red—full hybrid red. “Blood,” the guy rasps. His voice scrapes like broken glass. “Bring me… blood.” Luca recoils, nostrils flaring. He looks annoyed suddenly—likely from getting startled like that. “Yeah, that’s not happening.” The guy grins. Or maybe grimaces? Hard to tell with all the dried blood and the disturbing twinkle in his eyes. “Give me a vial,” he croaks. “And I’ll tell you a secret.” “Yeah? No can do. For all we know, you need it so you can take us down next,” Luca snaps, arms crossed and scowl firmly in place.

I ask, still trying to slow my breathing to normal. "Luke, he's AB negative. No one else in the pack is except our dad, but he's sick," she rambles out quickly while starting to pace. I can hear the beeping of the monitor start to slow down, and I know it is because of his lack of blood. "What about O positive? Can't they go to anyone?" I ask, hardly remembering the biology lesson from when I was a kid. She shakes her head before answering. "Yeah, but wolves don't have O positive blood," she tells me before starting to flip through pages of a book, like she is searching for an answer to her lack of available blood.

Unbelievable, just unbelievable. “I see the loss of blood is making you delirious, you're spewing nonsense.” Even as I reprimanded him, my tears continued to flow. He looked so pale, like he was holding on to his last string of life. My chest ached to see him this way, tightening with a profound emotion. The fear of losing him. Luke chuckled softly, the sound holding no substance as his gaze darted to the ceiling. “I'm not drinking…” he forced out, “It's for the wound silly…” his voice softer now, eyes closing as he fought to stay conscious.
