It was not Luke. 45 minutes before Luke Martinez sat in his living room, packing his bags for the very last time. He had been born there in Alaska, had friends there too but most of them had moved on to bigger cities. Alaska was known for its personalized cold season and participation in minor sports but it wasn't New York or LA or other larger coasts. He himself only visited to reminisce the good times however, it was time to move on, for good this time.

I looked at the man for a second and I couldn’t help but find myself wondering what I did to find myself being as lucky to be with a man who was asking for my consent, despite being an Alpha, a man of power, and I, regardless of what anyone was going to tell me, was not move than an omega who would normally be there to serve an Alpha.

Which was shocking to everybody who was watching the live broadcast of the press conference. Of course, everyone was shocked because this was the first time after a year of Alpha Darren's wedding announcement that his wife's identity was made public. The news was so big, several phone calls immediately came in and interrupted each other along with the sound of increasingly frequent camera shots. “I want to emphasize that here I stand as her husband, not as Alpha Darren the leader of Pack Kyne. So as a husband who lost his wife, I am really asking for your help. No matter how small the help is I would greatly appreciate it.”

He gave Annie a look that said ‘We will talk about this later’ then left the room to call Pete. Rufus was running through the woods in Kinhaven with Finn riding on his back. His pup was squealing with joy at the speed and almost fell off because he was laughing so much when they jumped over a fallen tree. Sarah’s heart was in her mouth, it was silly really, Rufus would never hurt his pup, he adored him, it was obvious. Pete’s phone rang in her coat pocket, she pulled a glove off with her teeth, took the phone out and looked to see who was calling, it was Hugh Crozier so she accepted the call.

Julius said, planting his palms firmly on his desk and he thankfully navigated the conversation away from topics of conversation we had yet to discuss. “I’m assuming our Luna here is up to speed about Wes?” “Yes.” Julius and I replied in unison. “Okay dynamic duo. Well, when I say he is perhaps the weakest person I’ve ever encountered, I’m not lying. This guy is talking and I’m not even asking questions.” “I’m sure you’re not doing nothing.” Julius scoffed. “I’ve electrocuted him a handful of times, sue me.” Dean rolled his eyes, crossing his forearms over his broad chest. “Anyway, he’s confirmed that Adrian is working with someone and he’s got connections in the Blue Moon Pack.”

I called them the Sinister Six. Jason Stokes was the leader. Tall, good-looking, green eyes, messy black hair. He treated everyone like trash unless you were attractive enough to matter. He had a scar on his shoulder from a party fight—at least that was the story. The story changed every time, so maybe he just cut himself making a sandwich. Either way, intelligence wasn’t his strength.
