A young worker stood in the doorway, flushed from running down the hall. “Message for the Athena wing,” he announced breathlessly. “From the Luna.” My heart kicked painfully. Waters stood. Clearway straightened. The worker read from the slip in his hand: “The Luna requests the presence of all pack members, servants, attendants, and slaves in the central hall at midday. An urgent address.” Silence fell. Thea’s breath caught. Clearway’s brows knit. “Urgent?” Waters exchanged a worried glance with her. “The Luna never calls full-house gatherings unless… unless something serious is happening.”

Pride flickered there – probably at the mention of his son more than anything else. “What is going on?” a woman’s voice cut through the moment – cool and measured. With a sharp undertone of suspicion – and just a hint of jealousy. Perfect timing. I peeked around the Alpha’s broad torso and spotted the Luna – regal, composed and fierce. A woman used to being in control. And definitely not used to surprise guests throwing around parental titles. “Mom!” I beamed again, turning my full attention to her with open arms. “Mom?” the Alpha echoed me, still clearly trapped in a loop of disbelief. Luna’s brows knit together.

I have learned to embrace that I am not going to be alone in this. For today, we are having burgers and fries and lots of steaks. As for me and Zayn? Oh we are not going anywhere. Because he is mine and I am his. Oh, and also, Did I tell you that I am the new Luna? There you go, Scoot.

Gush! The moon was full, the calm breeze flashed into my face. I took slow steps into the quiet place. The gentle sound of night insects pierced the air. I saw a fireplace. I walked to the place and sat. My eyes fell on the phones and headset on the floor. I knew someone must be here. But I didn’t mind. I sat down beside the flames and enjoyed the warmth it made me feel. A calm song “Lonely” by Justin Bieber was blaring from the stranger's phone. I sat there and enjoyed the moment.

“How did you get so big already, look at you!” Luna flew into my arms and gave me a tight hug. “Reunited at last!” Faith joined into our hug while we were jumping around like little children. “Look at you living like a princess!” Faith squealed as we walked inside. “Wow!” Luna exclaimed and turned around the hallway to take in every little detail. “Why do I hear that many voices?” Faith asked, referring to the voices which could be heard from the living room. Johnny, Marc, Luca, and Isobel were a loud combination and the four of them made up for eight. “They’re just loud.”

Luna’s tone was soft and innocent. She held a stack of printed papers and flipped through them one by one in front of the camera. She approached the camera, occasionally bending down, allowing the camera to infinitely magnify her beauty and pride. The male fans in the live broadcast room were instantly excited, and they could not focus on what she held in her hand at all. Luna sniffled and used her soft and cute voice to continue speaking, “My television shows, movies, and some business collaborations are all handled by my team. I'm currently recording 'Debut 303' on Lonasp Island, so I really don't know anything…”

Just as he turned to leave, the sound of small familiar footsteps echoed from the hallway. "Mommy!" Luna and Liam burst into the room, laughter bubbling a great deal out of them as they ran straight into my arms. Luna's curls bounced wildly as she hugged me. "Mummy!" she giggled, waving a toy that seemed to have been put on the fire. "Look! I set the wolfman on fire." I quickly smiled at Frost before bending down to Luna and resuming in a whisper. "You did what?" "The toy was just in her hands when it got ablaze," Liam answered. "I had to quench the flame before she ran out with it."

Dom The hallway outside the Luna’s suite felt like a tunnel made of ice. I stood by the heavy oak doors, my back against the cold stone wall. My earpiece was buzzing with the sounds of the pack gathering in the courtyard. I could hear the laughter, the clinking of glasses, and the high-pitched excitement from the big hall. Everyone was waiting, waiting to see the Luna. Hear the Luna speak. But inside this house, a murder was being prepared. Shame was brewing.

At long last, they were inside Luna's room. Lisa flopped onto the bed, kicking off her heels with a groan. “Remind me never to drink that much again,” Lisa mumbled, rubbing her temples. Luna chuckled, handing her a glass of water. “Noted.” Lisa took a sip before glancing at her. “Thanks for having my back tonight.” “Of course,” Luna said. “That guy was a creep.” Lisa sighed. “Yeah.” Luna chuckled. “You're unbelievable. Your energy is unmatched. Who knew you were a bundle of electricity?” Luna jokingly asked.
