Ace chimed in, his eyes shining with pride. I couldn't help but smile at their infectious energy, feeling a warmth spread through my heart. Pushing aside my worries for a moment, I shifted my focus to them, eager to see their creations. "That's wonderful, sweeties! Let me see." I beckoned them closer, and they eagerly rushed over, holding their drawings into my hands. Luna's drawing shown a colorful garden scene, complete with flowers, butterflies, and a shining sun, while Ace's featured a tall tree laden with apples, surrounded by smiling stick-figure people.

Chamomile, honey, and something floral - hibiscus - filled the room, softening the air instantly. “Good morning, Miss Thea,” Clearway said quietly. Her voice was tender in a way I’d never heard from her before. “The Luna sends her tea.” Waters followed, carrying a linen-lined basket of pastries. Warm brioche. Flaky honey bread. Berry tarts. Something dusted with cinnamon. The scents wrapped around me like gentle arms. “The Luna insisted you have something soft, warm, and easy to swallow,” Waters murmured, setting them down. Her gaze flicked to my throat - the rawness, the bruised strain of it. Her expression softened further. “She was… quite particular about it.”

I took it from his hand and looked at it. It was a drawing of me, them, and their mother. The two of them were standing between Nicole and me, and we were all smiling—something I wanted so badly. “This is amazing,” I said, causing his cheeks to redden. I’ve noticed that about Lucas; he gets shy easily. “I also drew that, Daddy,” Luna chimed in, wanting praise from me, which I didn’t hesitate to give her. “Alright, guys, it’s late, and you know you have school tomorrow.” Nicole spoke up, pulling our attention.

Something older. She looked at the girl, who was now drawing quietly with a piece of charcoal on a flat stone. At first, she drew trees and stars. But soon, her hand changed direction. She drew a circle — the same one from outside. Liora froze. “Where did you see that?” The girl blinked. “I don’t know. It just came into my head.” Jonathan laughed. “Looks cool! Like magic!” Liora’s voice was sharp. “Don’t touch it.”

Instead of a bar, Luna Elaine had a mini library with two reclining lounge chairs with side tables and a round center table. The former Luna loves reading. She has a collection of historical books on everything supernatural and other genres, too. She also has a mysterious shelf of unmarked books no one dared touch. They were the only ones kept inside a sliding glass enclosure with locks. It always piqued my interest, but I had to respect the rules of the house. The former Alpha and Luna busied themselves traveling abroad after successfully handing the pack over to Nathan at age 22. But they make sure to return every year for the celebration of the Summer solstice.

Her green eyes roamed over Lydia as she exclaimed, “Oh my God!” Lydia stifled a laugh; she knew her mom would soon comment on her beauty and how she would sweep every male off their feet that evening. It was clear that Lydia resembled her mother, both standing tall and slender, with curves that could captivate anyone. Lydia had inherited Luna Alice's striking green eyes, long tan limbs, pointed nose, and beautifully shaped lips.

Her expression softens as she takes a step closer, her hands clasped in front of her. “My, and what do we have here” She crouches down until she's practically eye level with a beaming Kira. “It's Pinky, from my favourite cartoon. Isn't it pretty?” Kira gushes, holding up the drawing proudly. Lydia studies the drawing, her smile widening. “Nu, razve eto ne chudesno? You have done a wonderful job, Kira” (Well, isn't this just marvellous) Kira grins, “Ava helped me.”

she rasped, “but you’re still just a girl.” I stepped closer, eyes glowing. “No, Evenly. I’m a Luna. The Luna.” She lunged. I met her head-on. This time, I didn’t hold back. I summoned every element, every shard of power that had once been stolen wind, fire, earth, light. They swirled around me, a storm only I could command. She screamed as I lifted her off the ground, the silver chain wrapping around her not by her will, but mine. It coiled like a serpent, binding her, squeezing her, until she fell to her knees.

Not enough to stabilise The Towers, but perhaps enough to satisfy the council. He doesn’t really need their permission. Bryce isn’t the kind who asks for anything. He just takes it. He expects the world to bend to his will, and the performance for the council is just that. A carefully prepared act. The girl’s aura is a faint blue, mostly white. My eyes were enormous circles with jagged lines coming out—lightning, maybe. Underneath, in Rowan’s careful, wobbly handwriting: THE KERSED LUNA. The second panel had a moon with angry eyebrows and what I thought might be teeth. A tiny figure (me, presumably) stood under it, frowning. Panel three showed a blob with too many arms, and what I assumed was Malric’s crown, being bitten by a smaller blob with pointy teeth. Panel four was just me again, this time with a wolf tail and a baby in my arms, the angry moon now… smiling? Or having a stroke. It's hard to say.
