Lycan Creature Novels & Stories

The look in her eyes was a painful reminder of the divide between our worlds, and I couldn't help but wonder how she truly perceived me now—a mere lycan. In the midst of my contemplation, a faint sound of unfamiliar footsteps crept towards my apartment. My senses honed in on the approaching presence, detecting the distinct aura of lycans. I quickly approached the door, peering through the small opening, and confirmed my suspicions as shadows drew nearer. With a sense of urgency, I snatched a shirt and swiftly climbed out of the window. My body was familiar with heights, and even from the fourth floor, leaping down posed no challenge.

he said, his tone turning serious. I looked up at him and narrowed my eyes. When our eyes met, I felt something inside me purr. “So, a lycan?” I blinked at him, having no idea what he was talking about. “Lycan?” I repeated, and he nods. “Lycans are far more superior creatures than werewolves. They can command alphas, betas, omegas, rogues—it doesn’t matter.” He explained, while I stared at him unblinkingly, wondering why he was telling me this.

She knew a lot about me, maybe it was because she observed me. I kept shut, and tried to remain calm, but there was a lot more on my mind. I needed answers to why they were gifted. “How can you heal, and how can you see visions ahead of time?" Insteavof pleading, I had to ask her other questions that I thought was best. “Most Lycans are fifteen. You should be too since you're a pure blooded, or aren't you? Because we aren't pureblodded, but the blood of a Lycan runs through our veins.”

I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. The truth was right there, but fear tightened around my throat and swallowed it whole. And Damien… He hadn’t looked away once. His eyes were locked on me, sharp and unreadable. It felt like he could see through me. I was having a panic attack and I couldn't move. I wished I could disappear. After what felt like forever, I gave the smallest nod. It was all I could manage. The priest raised his arms high. “Then, by the ancient laws of the Lycan bloodline, I now pronounce you mates. May the Moon Goddess bless your union.”

The Lycans -the royal children of King Endymion; Ares and Athena, sits together away from us. The Lycans are believed to be the direct descendants of the moon goddess, and are particularly an upgraded version of a werewolf. They are blessed with enormous power and beauty, and hence rules the spiritual world. "I woke up pretty late today." I tell Glinda as our legs find its way to the warlocks and witches' unit. I absentmindedly touch the Kwuazac neckpiece with my left hand. "...still having same dreams about the mysterious guy?" Glinda ask, raising an eyebrow.

The Lycans were the small portions of immortals given an opportunity to reside in the new world created by the deities after the Great Fae War. Lycans were the native residents of the Empire of Muhler, but their current Alpha had asked the help of King Airoh to seek refuge in the new haven called Erganiv—it had four vast territories governed by royal faeries. And now they were living in peace in the mountainous region of Gwiazda—a faerie domain in charge of the night and stars. I refused to be sacrificed! Una was adamant. She realized this was the sole reason the Alpha King let his son claim her as his mate.

*LYCIA* “Mate.” That was the first word he spoke while I stood frozen in place at the fear and catastrophe I had wrecked on myself. He looked confused and his golden eyes were vivacious as it assessed me like a predator. I had never seen a real Lycan in my life before. My mother had made sure that I never came in contact with one but I had read about them. About their golden eyes the color of the sun and just as deadly, closer to the eyes of a beast than humans and one that they only showed when they felt threatened and ready to attack.

Lycans were a myth. “I’m serious, Zaliver,” I said with my lips pursing at him. “So am I.” I shook my head at him not believing him. “Think about it. A species similar to werewolves but are way too different from them—stronger, faster, and better than wolves. I command all wolves. Come on, Vivian,” he said.

Gripping it by its tail, Lev grunted as swung it into another. My eyes bulged out; is this the strength of a lycan? Unlike cane wolves, Lycan were a hundred times stronger and their senses were more heightened. It was said they were once cane wolves, who sacrificed something of great importance to Nyctaris, the moon goddess of the underworld, for powers. I could only wonder what he had sacrificed. Their screech tore through the air of the forest before lingering as they kept coming, each taking turns to attack. But like an unforgiving beast he was, he took them down, their heads thudding to the floor.

Well, there you go. A True Born also has the option of shifting into a third form, a humanoid-wolflike creature similar to a Lyan, but don't get the two confused. Lycans are only one soul, not two, so they don't have a wolf counterpoint. There's nothing special about them other than their huge egos.
