Lyra Belacqua Daemon Novels & Stories

After staring at her for a while, with worry written all over his face, he nodded and walked away, shutting the door to her bedroom. As soon as he was gone, Lyra threw herself on her bed and screamed into her pillow. Obviously, her Dad would hear her, but he would know she was screaming into her pillow in an attempt to relieve her stress. The words of her Dad rang in her head again. “There are two Alpha’s ruling the pack Lyra. Thus, the pack is divided into two factions, Jaspers faction and Callum’s faction. Both are at rivalry. The peace and rest of our pack rests on your shoulders Lyra. You are to select the right Alpha. And I suggest you do that rightly and quickly, or you would be puttin

Trust strangers with her son's life or run again, knowing his power would eventually kill them both. "Promise me," she whispered. "Promise me you will try. That you will not give up on him." "I promise," Lyra said. "We promise," I echoed. Slowly, painfully, Lady Evara stood. The shadows around her pulsed with her anxiety, but she took a step toward Lyra. Then another. "His name is Daemon," she said. "His father named him before—before everything happened." Lyra's light magic flared brighter, creating a barrier around herself as she approached. "Hello, Daemon. I am Lyra. We are going to help you."

Lyra said, pacing the war room, "Malakor will level the lower tiers. He’ll turn the Null-Generators into weapons of mass suppression. Thousands will die before they even reach the valley gates." "And if we don't?" Varick countered. "We sit here in our warm beds while they choke on his exhaust? We have the light, Lyra. You told them there was a way out. You can't close the door now." Lyra looked at her hands. The translucent red lines of the Trinity Seal were faint, but they throbbed with every pulse of the Great Lens. She was the "Server" for this entire network. Every bit of hope being transmitted was drawing from her own spiritual bandwidth.

Now she stood at the center of the chamber, every eye on her. And she didn’t flinch. “The girl returns,” sneered Elder Vorek, his fur-lined mantle heavy with silver rank. His ancient eyes glinted beneath the crown of thorns woven from sacred ashwood. “And now she thinks herself a flame reborn.” Lyra raised her chin. “I don’t think so. I know it.” The dozen elders murmured. Some with interest. Others with disdain. “I stand here as Lyra Vale. Daughter of Elira of the Celestial Blood. Survivor of betrayal. Heir to the Moonbreaker line.”

"Prince Xander, now that you and Natalia were old enough, you will no longer tease her like old times." Xander chuckled. "You don't have to worry, Your Majesty. I promise to protect the princess and Etholia with my life." Last to introduce himself was Alpha Lucas of the Night Crawlers Pack. "Alpha Lucas of the Night Crawlers Pack, General of the southern army, Your Majesty." "Lucas! I was very happy to see your name on the list. You are one of my loyal subjects and I know Etholia is in good hands because of my generals. This is my chance to thank you for your service." King Lucius exclaimed.

The way you got in, it seems that your butt had been bitten- and now the one that was missing - Shut up Dylan- Cris let out another growl at the guardian, who stayed behind his alpha's shoulder. Although he wasn't afraid of it, he didn't want to deal with a runaway beta. -Dylan- he heard his alpha call him -ask Louva to come up- The wolf took the position of soldier accepting a mission and disappeared in a few seconds down the stairs.

Damien's hesitation was crushed in an instant by a wave of concern and desire. He ignored me completely. Instead, he lowered his head, his fangs grazing the sensitive skin of Lyra's neck in a gesture of raw possession. Then, he swept her into his arms and strode directly to the center of the room. To my Moonspring. A sacred place that only a healer of my divine power could activate. Ignoring my will completely, he plunged Lyra into the sacred water, immersing her in its power. "Begin. Now." His Alpha command shot through our mate bond, an authority I could not defy. The spring hummed in protest, its energy turning frantic and chaotic.

“Pick one. I don’t care which one. Marry her and stabilize the realm before I lose what’s left of my mind.” Damian’s eyes opened. They were bright silver, which all Lycan’s possessed. The look on his eyes would have made a lesser wolf slit their own throat. “You think I don’t want a mate?” His voice came out quiet. The dangerous kind of quiet that Lucas had learned years ago to take seriously. “You think I am choosing this?” Lucas said nothing.

"But Lyra isn't an ordinary threat." I stopped and turned to him. "What exactly do you know? Why are you so sure she'll find us here?" He hesitated for a moment, then handed me a letter. "Marcus sent this three days ago." I opened it. The message was short and disturbing: “Lyra has allied with the Northern Pack, and she’s taken some Nightfang members with her. Worse, they’re performing some ancient ritual, possibly related to the ‘Shadow Fissure.’ They know Sera is at Moonshadow Sanctuary. Be careful. – M”

"What have you done?!" Lyra let out a soft laugh. "It's vodka," she said, handing me the empty bottle so I could smell it. "I didn’t do anything except burn your eyes a little. You’ll live, Alpha. I promise." I mind-linked my pack, telling them to stand down. "Why should we listen to anything you have to say?" "I'm a friend and an ally," she replied, unfazed by the growls around her. "I'm not a magical being. I know how to make potions, and I have good intuition. I live on the outskirts of the North River pack, so I overhear things."
