I looked up and my stomach dropped. Aziel Nightbane. The monster himself. His golden eyes burned down at me with pure hate. Up close he smelled like blood and smoke and something darker that made my wolf stir. “Who are you running from boy?” he growled. His voice was low and rough like gravel under boots. His grip tightened on my arm hard enough to bruise. I gasped for air and forced words out even though my throat felt tight. “Please. I am nothing. Just a slave omega. Let me go and I will disappear. You will never see me again I swear it.”

Even for monsters. Especially for them.

He stepped closer, towering over me, his shadow completely enveloping my desk. "You talk about it like a mathematical problem," Magnus said, his voice dropping into a low, quiet baritone that vibrated right through my chest. "But it isn't just numbers, is it? Chapter 22: Solo Boss Fight The big black monster smashed into the concrete path with a loud crash that shook the whole wall beneath my feet. He let out a deep chuckle, sending a thrill up my spine. "Oh love, monsters are real, and they look like people."

Cyber's voice was soft. “Far from it, I would say,” Monster chuckled unhelpfully, and we both turned to glare at him, making him chuckle even more. “Why are you here?” I directed my question at Monster. I knew he had been watching me, but he had promised me that he wouldn't interrupt my date unless he absolutely needed to. If he was there, if Cyber was there, then something had happened. “Is Maggie ok?” “Maggie is fine.
