We actually had to tie a man to one of the stalls in the plane because your dad had sent him to find you. Not to mention the numerous men who have been following us to try and find a lead on you” Thomas said and I sighed. The man was a genius despite being who he was. He had two degrees and one of them was in computer IT. I would by lying if I said that I wasn’t impressed by his skills.

He replies, then he lays back on the bed using the headboard as a back rest. We spent the rest of the day getting to know each other more. I like Thomas, he seems almost like a big brother to me now. I know his mate was a rogue who died in the same attack that killed my parents, as they were not marked he was able to survive her death. “She’s inside. She just woke up but hasn’t gotten out of bed.” Odell strode forward with Bowman behind him. Thomas smiled. “There’s a time bomb in her room.” Odell froze. He glared at Thomas and shouted, “Thomas, stop this at once. Believe me when I say I’ll kill you.” Bowman tried to talk Thomas out of it. “Thomas Carter, you’re surrounded. Surrender immediately.” “Only I know where’s the bomb.” Thomas looked into Odell’s cold gaze. “Brother, come with me alone or I will not tell you where the bomb is.”

Valeria was going to congratulate him and he was going to earn all the money he needed to to start over. Thomas remembered again. ‘Don’t tell me what you have prepared, don’t ask me anything, I don’t want to know anything until the moment I see Gadriel is no longer in this world, okay?’ The screams of the little boy made him come back to his reality. “Thomas! Thomas! Thomas! I’m ready, I’m ready to learn how to ride!” Thomas turned around. “Hey, you! Are you ready?”

They knew we couldn't last. "This is unnecessary." Thomas's voice echoed through the ravine. "I don't want to damage the merchandise. Surrender the woman and the child, and the rest of you can walk away." "Go to hell." "I've been there." Thomas smiled. "It's where I do my best work." He gestured. They came again.

Thomas immediately backed up, surprised anyone was awake, and came in looking for them. “I can explain-” he said as Montana charged at him, punching him straight in the nose. Thomas fell back, now pissed off. Montana was a big man, a strong 6 foot, 200 lbs, and he was a former Marine. Thomas took one look at him and knew he wouldn’t win a fight against this man.

His appearance didn’t match the venue—he wore an expensive suit, but his movements were relaxed, as if he was used to navigating the shadows. “Maddox Dangello,” the man said, smiling as he stood to shake Maddox’s hand. “Finally deciding to leave your golden cage?” “I don’t have time for jokes, Thomas,” Maddox replied, sitting down without returning the smile. “We’re here for answers. Tell us what you know about the Council and their supposed plan.” Thomas studied Maddox for a moment before sitting down again, his smile fading. “I knew you’d come to me eventually, but I didn’t think it would be under these circumstances.”

“If anyone gets within a centimeter of her, they’re dead.” Fabio nodded again. “I’ll handle it.” Alone now, Dante pressed a hand against the window frame and closed his eyes briefly. He thought of the Camorra. The Bratva. The invisible threads pulling at him, entangling him in a web of betrayals and threats. He opened his eyes and met his own reflection. A leader couldn’t afford distractions. But she was one. And that unsettled him more than any war about to erupt.
