Technically, Adonis was a Mafioso, men who were monsters, given all the shit they did, but Adonis was a better monster if that was even a thing.

Then she was on her feet and running back toward her house. Darkness howled, his headless body whirling around as his head bounced on the ground, mouth wide open, the sound reverberating macabrely through the compound. He stretched out his arms to call back his shattered skull. The moment it settled on his body, Matt fired, destroying it all over again. The mouth screamed and the headless body pointed toward the "eagle's nest," the tall tower in the far corner where Matt was taking aim at the monster closest to Danny. Damonq had already shielded Matt's position, but he reinforced it before Darkness could retaliate with the bomb he hurled toward the tower. It exploded, fire ringing the tower

***Caden's POV** I rushed over to Aiden to see what he was trying to show us. “Did you see the burnt bodies? It appeared there was a fire during the battle.” “You're right, Aiden. From what you've observed, what wolf do you think has the power to burn monsters with their growls?” “The…moon wolves!” Aiden said at once. “What? If that's the case, isn't it obvious that the person who might have done this is our mate?” Jayden asked. I nodded my head and so did Aiden.

" I almost laughed at how ridiculous it sounded. I used to think Ophelia was just born rotten. As it turned out, Lauren wasn't any better. Like they say, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I shot Lauren a cold glance, then suddenly waved toward the distance, my voice bright. "Mom! You're here!" Lauren jerked her head up and followed my gaze. The operator who had controlled the memory extraction machine that day was striding straight toward us. I looked at the two of them, stunned speechless, and let out a quiet, mocking laugh. "Sorry. I already have a new family now. I have a new mom. If you keep bothering me, I'm calling the police."
