Finally, my turn came. I stepped forward, rattling off the drinks as clearly and quickly as I could. “A double shot espresso with almond milk, a matcha oat latte, one cold brew with vanilla, black coffee—no sugar or cream, iced americano, sparkling water with lemon, and chamomile herbal tea. All in takeaway cups, please.” The barista blinked but nodded, tapping into the screen rapidly. I checked my phone again. The meeting had started. My heart sank. My mouth went dry.
