THE LIE
Agu gently took her hand, leading her to sit, then settled next to her.
“What did you want to know about me?” Agu asked, looking her straight in the eyes, his hands still holding hers.
“Everything, Agu. Who are you?” she asked, peering directly at him.
“My name is Sylvester Ayanwu,” he replied, his voice carrying a hint of coldness.
“Then why does everyone call you Agu?” Greater asked, surprised.
“Because,” he started, a faint smile appearing, “the market people said I fight like a tiger. And since I refused to tell them my name, even when they asked, they had no choice but to call me ‘Agu,’ the market madman.”
