"I'll see you in the morning then." I watched as she walked toward the door, her ass swaying tantalizingly in that tight dress. Damn Anthony and his terrible timing. Another twenty minutes and I'd have had her screaming my name again, bent over the kitchen counter this time. "Goodnight, everyone," Madison called over her shoulder. "It was nice meeting you." As the door clicked shut behind her, I turned my attention back to my unwelcome guests, taking a long sip of whiskey. Anthony swirled his drink. "Have you received any news about Katherine?"

The least Madison could do was lend me something to wear. There was barely anything in her closet but it was organized—apparently, she saved all her messes for the common areas. I found a pair of soft pajamas that looked comfy, if distinctly feminine. Pink with little cats on them. Perfect. The shower was its own adventure: no hot water. I stood under the freezing spray, a billionaire reduced to cat pajamas and chattering teeth. When I came out, clean and ridiculous-looking, I checked on Madison. Still sleeping, but her color was better. Her breathing was even.

Two of them, I guessed, must be Irwin’s cousin Sophie talked about. “My baby is getting married,” Kate crooned with a wink in my direction and I choked on a snort. “Girls, why don’t you go ahead? I’d like to have this moment with my daughter,” she said. “Alone,” Kate stressed when no one made a move to go out. We all released our breath when they exited the room with a huff. Kate quickly strode to the sofa and pulled a bag from behind the curtains. “Where is Madison?” “Ah, she is in the bathroom,” I replied.

Travis knuckles cracked as his lips flattened as he drew in slow, steady breath. “Get me out of here. I've got my wedding to plan.” Madam Kate's voice as she strutted through the compound, her guards falling in place side to side like her little minions. She brushed through her manicure and rechecked her makeup, douching off a wrinkle that stood upright. “In a matter of weeks. This mansion would be all mine. All mine to live in. All mine to love again.” She muttered to herself, a sinister laughter escaping her lips.

"But I promise you, I won't let anything happen to you. Please, just come with me." Madison hesitated for a moment, but then she nodded. "Okay," she said. "I'll come with you. But I swear to God, if you try anything funny, I'll kill you myself." I don’t think she knew when she said this, she looks tipsy!!! I nodded, relief flooding through me. I know that I am doing the right thing, even though it felt so wrong. “We need to leave now.” Kevin said behind her. Madison turned around immediately to see who else I brought in.

“So, Mads is friends with your almost ex and now you’re upset?” “No, Ken,” I said. “No, it’s far worse then that.” “Then spit it out, boy!” he exclaimed. “Just a second ago you were rushing to spill your guts and now you’re holding back. What the hell happened?!” “She’s transformed, Ken.” “What? What are you talking about?” “Madison didn’t just find her out on the street, Ken. She found her running our territory.” Now he understood. “She found her as she was headed back to her bike.”

Madison went 360 especially with her attitude. Since Madison, unlike before that was loud and lazy but still active and focused, changes into a quiet and unattentive. Gavin always sees her dozing off while sitting or looking blankly at her ceiling or any blank spaces. Sometimes, he would just look for her and find her at the veranda where they drank hot chocolate. He’s so worried that he has to look at her from time to time since he doesn't know what Madison is thinking at those moments.

Chapter three. Charles' POV. I stood at the edge of the fifty-story building of the Moonstone Pack's company, watching the far end of the earth. "Coward," I muttered to myself. I closed my eyes deeply, and Kate's face kept displaying in my head. What have I done? She was just a poor omega, a desperate slave with no one, but I sent her away to the wild. Is she dead? I don't think I would be able to live with this guilt. She was my mate. I raped her, threatened to kill her, and sent her to her death.
