Third Wheel
Madison needed a friend when Isaac left, but it became so much more.
“I stole prescription sleeping pills from Madison’s bathroom. I fixed Taylor and Jackson several glasses of wine one evening, and I spiked the last one.” I roll my head, attempting to release the tension in my neck.
“Taylor became relaxed. She lay her head on the back of the sofa while slumping down. Jackson started shaking his head, as if trying to clear the cobwebs out of his brain. I encouraged Taylor to lie down on the sofa. I asked if she was hot. She said yes so, I helped her remove some clothes.” I avoid the doctor’s eyes. I do not want to see the horror in them. I return to my chair.
