She cleared her throat to try to gain some courage, she did not know why she was suddenly shy. “Well, my morning was interesting. As I said earlier your pack is beautiful and everything seems to be in place. We just visited some cafés and did a little window shopping. We were to head to the pack for lunch, I mean, we forgot about the deal for a moment. So that is that, we should continue from there I guess.” Madison said to Alpha King Caden who listened to her. “Alright, that seems fun. I have a question for you, do you like to read?” alpha King Caden asked Madison and she nodded her head. Reading was an escape for her, and she reads almost anything she can get her hands on.

"Yes, I remember." Wanda continued, "The chubby one is called Madison. She added me on WhatsApp, and that's where I learned all this. She even recommended a few books to me, saying I'd definitely learn something if I read more. "I've had plenty of free time at home since we moved to the city and stopped farming, so I bought those books and read them. I have to say that they've been really helpful…" Ollie sighed. "Our family really owes them a lot. Otherwise…"

“I’m with you.” Richard smiled “Good. Then let’s go make this the happiest day of our lives.” Madison straightened, exhaling deeply as she glanced in the mirror again. The girl she saw there wasn’t broken,not anymore. She stood tall, her hand gently held in Richard’s. I forced the words out, my voice thinner than I wanted. Madison’s lips curled, her perfect hair catching the sunlight as she stepped closer, eyes raking me up and down. “Right,” she said slowly, her tone dripping disdain. “But you don’t exactly look like you belong. No wolf, no power. Just a plain little thing hiding behind books.” Her little circle of friends giggled behind her, like trained echoes. I tightened my hold on the books in my arms, pressing them so close to my chest I thought they might break. My throat burned, but I lifted my chin anyway. “I’m here because I belong, just like everyone else.”

A voice, sweeter than a candy, made me turn my head to its owner. Madison, standing not more than a feet away from me, with her skin fit, black full sleeve, turtle neck one piece, which ended right above her, mid thighs. And Good Lord, she had amazing thighs, enhancing her curves even more. She looked serene, yet elegant and a part of me felt attracted, just like the first time I saw her. With her lips and nails painted in the same dark red tint, I couldn’t remove my eyes off her face. She was stunning. She really was.

"Then you sit on my lap and call me shy?" Madison raised a perfectly arched eyebrow, giving a small, nonchalant shrug as if she were discussing the weather rather than her presence in a mobster's fortress. She wasn't going to let him see the tremor of nerves that had initially gripped her. She was a Puffer who had decided to become a Wellman; she was built on the brick and mortar of audacity. Emelio chuckled softly, a sound that lacked the usual warmth of a laugh. "Aren’t you scared of being hurt?"

I keep running until suddenly, I look up at a bird and run straight into another person. “Oh my god!” the person exclaims. “Are you fucking insane?” I blink a few times and have to hide a smirk when my eyes meet a pair of angry, furrowed eyebrows belonging to Madison. Her long dark hair is caught in a messy bun, and her eyes are narrowed at me with an accusing light dancing within them. She is not wearing any make-up, but she is still very beautiful. “Fancy meeting you here,” I say and arch an eyebrow. “And yes, I’m a little bit insane.”
