Zephyr reckoned the man was an Agile of level three, a dangerous combatant to encounter indeed. Zephyr remained hidden and quickly channeled his Might to further mask his energies. ‘Who’s this guy?’ he wondered.

"Don't put her words to mind. I assure you she won't pester us anymore." Agatha wryly smiled. That time, she didn't care if Madison was under someone else's hypnosis. Agatha only cared that Madison badmouthed her and called her whore and almost destroyed her image in front of everyone. Out of anger, and some competitiveness to prove her skill to that other host, she had done something to make that woman not appear any time soon. It was her form of retaliation against Madison and Maurice, but Agatha reflected a bit and thought that she might have gone overboard at it.

The madness drove him forward with terrifying, explosive speed. He launched himself at Marcus, throwing a chaotic, desperate flurry of elbows and knees. He wasn't fighting with technique; he was fighting with the sheer, suicidal pressure of the Red Rust. Marcus dropped into his heavy, grounded guard. Harden. The invisible Non-Newtonian Kinetic Shield flared over his dark combat rig. Kael's strikes slammed into the Bastion with the force of a wrecking ball. The shield crystallized, effortlessly absorbing the physical penetration, but the heavy kinetic weight of the blows transferred directly into Marcus's fractured rib.

She'd learned the layout of the main floor, identified security patterns, begun to understand the household dynamics. And she'd seen him. Alpha Kael Stormridge, in the flesh. Marcus's killer. Sera pulled out her phone and scrolled to the photos she'd saved-pictures of Marcus, smiling and alive. The evidence of his murder. The anonymous note that had started everything. She needed to remember. Needed to keep the hatred sharp and clear. But when she tried to summon rage, tried to feel that burning need for vengeance... Nothing. Just exhaustion and emptiness. Her wolf was silent. Her heart was numb. She was a weapon, yes, but weapons didn't feel. They just cut.

I said and walked out. He laughed and said something that made me more pissed that I could ever be. “Mr. Racoma can actually do something about it. I just told him to help me… and look, its effective.” He grinned and I was losing my mind right at this moment. I would do anything to kill this fucking dimwit who’s totally a fucking shit! Jasmine only nodded as they took off running following Cyndil and the agent to safety. Men from another agency, possible country swarmed in guns blazing shooting and killing whoever they could. The agents fought back but it was a war zone wherever they were. Gun fire racked their brains. Jasmine jumped several times causing Gabriel to pull her closer to him for comfort. The battlefield from humankind was more dramatic and louder than the fight against demons was, but it was all the same war in the end, meaningless as it was.
