I clenched my jaw and they both noticed the frustration spreading across my face. "Two of my best men by her side at all times starting now." I ordered nd they both nodded calling inside Massimo and Eriko. My bodyguards, the best of the best, trained perfectly and forged under the cruel life of the Mafia. I raised my eyes to them. "You will follow Alexis Alessandro everywhere. Do not let her out of your sight." They lowered their heads accepting the mission and walked out immediately going to find her.

She wrapped her arms around Alexa, and pulled her down the hallway. "What?" Alexa bust out laughing. "Girl you're something else. What the hell was going on back there?" "I don't know what you're talking about." Alexa cackled. "You don't know who that is? You flatter me honestly. That's the body guard of the most ruthless mafia boss in the city." Olivia whispered. "Girl you tripping." Alexa scoffed, not believing a word that Olivia said. "You think I'm lying? What's up with the body guards then?" Olivia asked, trying to convince her.

I had refused at first but later reconsidered and decided to grant him a post as my personal driver since I couldn’t possibly give him a job as one of my bodyguards. Bodyguards who worked for me had to be well trained and pass a whole lot of tests before they could be declared as a bodyguard. It was a huge honor for any man to become a bodyguard here in the mafia and almost everyone wants to become one, but only a few manage to pass the complete tests. “Same time tomorrow, Mr Ricci?” He asked me and I watched as he rubbed his hands against themselves while puffing out a long breath as he waited for my reply.

“But I have other aspirations in life. Becoming a mafia wife was never part of my plan.” “Watch your words when you speak of my son,” Mirella warned without looking at her, her attention fixed on the painting as if each word she spoke was just another stroke of the brush. “Dante isn’t just a simple mafioso, as you say. He is the leader of the ’Ndrangheta. The mere mention of the Bellandi name makes lesser men tremble. Don’t get it twisted, girl.” Her tone was soft, but every syllable carried a sharp edge—a reminder that Svetlana was a foreigner in a world that didn’t belong to her.

said Avanindra. "Who is this guy anyway? Does he have that great a track record against mafia?" asked Aryan. Avanindra sighed. He sure as hell was not going to tell his son that the man who is going to protect him is the nightmare of many across the globe, mafia's included. That would not go down well with his son and he wanted Salvatore's presence kept quiet as much as possible or Salvatore would end up drawing enemies to himself and become a target.

It was really hard for him to think he onces loved such a monster. Roman was furious at his bodyguards. He had seven of them around the house and he paid a substancial amoi every month for his protection. He had three security personnels and four bodyguards. To think these were the part of the company's best hands. They were also rumored to have learnt from the best martial artist all over the world. Some of them were even retaired FBI agents and they couldn't do anything to stop Eva's thugs from hitting Rose. "Stop!" Roman declared when they didn't, he yelled, "stop!"

Asher asked firmly. The man grinned. “Well, I must say—they’re quite good in combat. Can I buy them from you? I like strong people, and I’m willing to pay more than you do.” Asher’s expression hardened. “They’re my bodyguards, not items for sale.” The mafia boss didn’t take the rejection well. He threw the wine glass to the ground, shattering it into pieces. “Who do you think you are? I said I want them! Or would you rather die here tonight?”

Michael replied with a stern poise on his face. "Oh..ok. I don't think they will be back anytime soon. We are protected by the top officials of the city." Mario said. “Top officials? I'm sorry commander for asking but what do you mean by saying that?” Michael quickly raised another question. “Oh Michael you are still young in the business to understand but I will save you the trouble and answer your question. Us mafia's are protected by the top officials so long we pay our monthly payment for it. Then nobody in the city be it the FBI, CIA or DEA can take us down.” Mario replied with a cocky smirk while he patted his back.

After he saw the thugs trying to lay their fingers on Liam, he immediately barged in with a dozen bodyguards. Eaden's bodyguards were great fighters. All of them were retired soldiers from the military region. All of them were so highly trained in combat that the average man was no match for them. The hundred thugs that Kiel brought with him would not have stood a chance against them. Kiel's men were enough to frighten the common folks, but they would not be able to fight with the real fighters like the bodyguards.
