After two years she will be free to get married to whoever she pleases. We sit in silence for some minutes before light footsteps are heard from the front door. A young lady in a maid’s attire with a luggage in her hand comes into view. She is soon followed by a lady clad in all black. She is also on a face cap but anyone could tell that she wasn’t a normal person because she carried a powerful aura. Emilia Peyton.

Making some new friends sounded like a breath of fresh air. Margo led the way to one of the bigger cabins on the south side of the village. She knocked on the door and a beautiful shifter with long auburn hair and hazel eyes opened the door. "Hi Brielle," Margo said. I lifted my brows in surprise, Brielle was the name of Cassius' mate. "This is Selene," Margo said gesturing towards me. "I figured she could join us for lunch." Brielle observed me for a moment then smiled.

"What mums going to send, Mas?" Mas Suma showed me a message from the Great Madam. The package wasn’t arrived yesterday maybe today. We don't know what kind of package from Great Madam. Everyone is waiting curiously. "A present from grandma? For my future sister?" Amelia asked joining in and getting closer to her daddy.

She probably saw my confusion and shrugged. “I'm Maggie, an actress on Broadway. They snatched me when I was having a smoke out by the theatre. Was still in costume, so just went with being the old hag. And I'm glad I did, considering rape and torture of the younger ladies seems to be the only thing those bastards can think of.” Maggie shook her head sadly. “Have you seen my friend? And why can't we shift? Any idea where we are?” There were just so many questions in my mind.

“But I never saw him more than twice with the same girl. They were just eye candy and couldn’t keep his attention. I used to tease him mercilessly about his latest Barbie.” Maggie started to twist the ever-present pearls at her neck. That was the complete opposite of her. She was short with plain brown hair and brown eyes and too much backside. She’d never worn much makeup and was just a small-town girl. How could she compete with the kind of sophisticated women he was used to?

Alice nodded, her expression unreadable as she turned to Maggie. Maggie swallowed. "I’m Maggie. Half-witch, half-fae. My mother was gifted, but she—" She hesitated, looking away for a moment. "She never got to teach me. So, I guess…I’m here to figure out what she never got to show me."

My eyes widened as she coughed out blood, her breathing unstable. “Ma'am. Are you okay?” Maggie asked, and then Elda lifted her gaze, her eyes landing on me. “You're……Red Blood Moon…..You carry his scent” She recognized me. “Elda….” I spoke. “I'm Elda Verran,” she said and Maggie held her, her head in her laps. She coughed, blood dripping from the corners of her mouth. “Don't talk. We will get you treated” Maggie said. She shook her head, coughing blood once again. “No,” she was denying treatment. “Just listen,” she said.

She’s going to expose Miranda and send her back to wherever she came from, or even make sure she’s executed for sure this time, then she’ll be out of their lives for good! Must have come here after I left. “Hey guys.” “Thomas, you finally decided to join us.” “We were about to have fun without you.” “Well I’m here now.” “And not alone I see.” “Everyone, this is Emma. My childhood best friend.” “Hi.” “Hey. It’s nice to meet you. I’m Maggie.” Maggie had long brown hair that curled at the end. I could tell by her tone and smile that she was an optimistic person.
