Magic Academy Books Novels & Stories

She must have shown him all the books and the Mage Study. Without warning, Zachary yanked the purple K from around my neck and tossed it on the desk at Conor. My necklace! “We have been researching the Mages on this planet as the information Lewis was able to provide was far too vague compared to what we have been learning recently with Lady Monica’s gracious assistance. What an incredible number of talents that Mages can acquire! Hundreds of spells to do anything and it goes beyond the reach of attacking and defending!” He exclaimed walking around and standing behind me. “Sword magic, Healing magic, Elemental magic… Just to name a few. You can manipulate the entirety of nature to your will.

But instead of old stories from my grandmother’s life, the pages were scrawled with strange symbols and sketches—shorthand in her handwriting explaining the purpose of different runes and sigils. Flipping through the pages, there were sketches of wolves, and the last page that she’d written in had a detailed rendition of a nightmarish wolf-beast that made my blood run cold at the sight of it, it’s eyes smudged over with charcoal in the shape of a protective rune. My heart raced when I realized what I was holding. This was no ordinary journal, it was a spell book.

The earlier I start, the closer I’ll get to leaving this place. I struggle to stand, my legs stiff from hours of sitting in one spot. “Ah,” I cry out softly, finding the light switch and turning it on. Damn. My eyes widen in disbelief. This place looks like an ancient library. The room is small, it belongs to a child, but the aesthetics tell me that the child studied endlessly. My fingers trail across the shelves, flipping through books one after another. These are limited editions, the rare copies. Then my eyes fall on a purple-colored book, and my mouth falls open. “My God!” I exclaim, lifting it carefully. “The Book of Magic.”

The amount of small little pages were like a book of their own, how could this be hidden away for so long and no one notice it? The title at the top of the page said ‘Magic and the Moon’, this peaked my interest more than expected. The Goddess must have been pointing me to look at this and not the map like I had previously thought. Taking a gulp of tea to ready myself, I turn the page in my note book ready to take note of everything. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to take photo copies of these pages, if I brought this to the libraries attention the book would probably disappear. ‘Magic and the Moon have long been connected, weaved together through time and space, like soul mates who could no

A blacksmith swore loyalty to the crown— And the metal in his forge softened like wax without heat. None of it catastrophic. None of it violent. But undeniable. The laws of magic were bending. Not because Lily commanded it. Because her existence was recalibrating the field. Luke stood in the war chamber staring at reports spread across the table. “Spontaneous manifestation,” one general muttered. “Localized distortions,” said another. “Divine contamination,” whispered a priest. Lily stood at the center of the room, silent.

“You are right. But I'll stay up late to see who's sitting in my room without my will.” “We’d better see your books.” Johnny checked the books in Elizabeth’s hand. In the pile of book prepared for the girl there were: Encyclopedia of magical eras, from the beginning to the present day, Find out what others have done ... and become a better wizard, by Mark Zitter Geography of magical places and unknown fantastic areas, Beaten tracks ... and uncommon roads, by Julia Simens Beasts rarely seen ... or never met, Seen in dream ... in dim mindset, by Hans von Kilberg

I sneer, dragging her back to Anastasia and march right back into the fracas of magic. Magical lights of blue, green, purple, yellow, red, gold splash across the sky. It's actually really pretty. It's funny because the black magic coming from the Abyss isn't even half as powerful as ours is. They don't actually know how to use offensive magic. All they are able to do is put up weak shields that crumble moments later. I'd laugh... but now's not the time.

I knew what was in most fantasy books: fantastical creatures and places, protagonist wins via antagonist revealing plans in some way, damsel in distress, adventure, conclusion, blah boring blah. "Where's mental illness?" "Where are parent MC's?" "Where's the government structure in fantasy books?" "Where's the tie in between worlds?" "Where's the villain who knows not to brag about their plan?" These were things I asked. So after years I created the universe, governments (loosely,) characters, plot and began. I had 5 books completed after 7 years but decided to read through it all. I did not like what I read.

“I never said.” He looked at me with those gorgeous eyes that held nothing but admiration and friendship and, possibly, a bit of love in them. “You didn’t need to tell me. I’m not stupid. The easiest way to syphon or transfer magic from one shine to another is through sex. You said that he was coming and taking your magic and I’d already said that I believed the person who entered your hospital room teleported in. Someone with strong enough magic to travel time at such frequent intervals can surely do a little teleportation. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to put it together.” “I guess not,” I said with a sigh. “I can’t say that I’m all that thrilled to have my private business s
