The Sorcerers turned the dragon's gemstone into the magic artifact they used. Edmund had marked the locations of magic artifacts containing dragon gemstones in various kingdoms in Magica during this time. As an illustration, the world where Astrid was in is called Magica. In this world, there were human races and non-human races. One of the non-human races that Astrid had encountered was Dragons and Elves.

Well, at least I finally got something I can do as a mage, right? Water splintered like glistening crystals as I turned and followed the rhythm with precision. I closed my eyes as I continued on my track, there was another smooth splash. Once again, I turned and leaped a little, then faced the audience and opened my eyes. I thought I'd see my expectants watching me in awe. But to my surprise, my line of vision was directed to a pair of unfamiliar pitch black eyes, the darkest shade of black I've ever seen in my whole life.

I took a long bath, curled up in my robe with a fire going, and lost myself in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Completely enjoying myself with the book and the fire, I lost all track of time. I put the book down to reach for my can of soda and caught the reflection in the window of someone standing behind my sofa. I jumped and screamed, dropping my book on the floor as I leaped to my feet and whirled around. It took me a moment to realize it was Marsh standing there. With my heart pounding so hard I thought it might come out of my chest, I yelled at him, "Jesus Christ, Marsh! Why are you sneaking up on me? You scared the shit out of me!"

“No more beers for you.” She shot me a smile as she led him away. “Sorry, sometimes these guys get a little carried away with their fantasy role play. Especially when they’ve been drinking.” A little puzzled, I decided it was time to find Julie, who of course wanted to stay longer, even though I was beyond ready to call it a night. I told her about crazy Drake, and the cute guy she was with brushed if off, saying Drake got like this when he played Dragons and Dungeons. I was told to just ignore him. The next few chapters are a series of stories that follow on from each other and have different peoples points of views. These was going to be released as a completely different book all together but seen as I decided to merge all three of Tales OF A Gay Man books together I will more than likely just keep adding to these. My uncle looks around nervously. Magic gathers and spins inside me like a cotton candy machine. Wrapping tighter and tighter with each fragment adding to the greater whole. My rage heats me from the inside out. This monster stole so much from me. My past, my present and now he wants to rob me of my future. Not going to happen. He stepped back, his expression shifting as he struggled to piece things together. "The symbol . . . your strength . . . the Cave . . . Are you a werewolf or a mage?" "I'm a fire mage," I replied, watching as his demeanor changed yet again. His voice softened, hesitant. "Are you . . . like me?" 'He's sharp,' Naila said. 'Just like his father.' "Yes, I am," I admitted. "Now will you talk to me?"

But instead of old stories from my grandmother’s life, the pages were scrawled with strange symbols and sketches—shorthand in her handwriting explaining the purpose of different runes and sigils. Flipping through the pages, there were sketches of wolves, and the last page that she’d written in had a detailed rendition of a nightmarish wolf-beast that made my blood run cold at the sight of it, it’s eyes smudged over with charcoal in the shape of a protective rune. My heart raced when I realized what I was holding. This was no ordinary journal, it was a spell book.

She tilted her head while questioning. "Oh, we have books and plenty of stories about mythical creatures, I think most, if not all of it exist here." Alexis nodded as she spoke, she was fairly confident her brain conjured up all these creatures to distract her from her impending death. As depressing as it was, Alexis hadn't felt the slight bit affected by the thought because she was thoroughly distracted. "Like history books?" The woman asked looking slightly suspicious of Alexis. Though Alexis noticed she thought nothing of it. "No, no fictional books. Like romances and stuff." She knew the word fantasy probably didn't exist here. "Enough of that anyway.
