The Forgotten Path stretched before her, broken and warped. The others landed beside her, dazed but alive. Cassian groaned. "I’m going to kill something." Mira staggered upright. "Preferably whatever that was." Dorian rubbed his temples. "So… just to recap, we accidentally unleashed an apocalypse?" Lena swallowed hard. "Seems that way." A heavy silence settled between them.

Right in the middle stood a giant glass orb full of thick, golden liquid—the same stuff June had seen swirling in her staff. “That’s the Source,” Sarah said quietly. She headed for one of the computer screens. “If we throw the black metal into the gold, the whole network collapses. We’ll shut down the CEO’s signal, but we’ll lose the magic for good. No more magic bread. No more miracles. Everything just...normal again.” June glanced at her arm. The black lines had crept to her shoulder. She could feel the CEO’s thoughts now—cold, greedy, endless. “If I destroy the magic, does everyone turn normal again?” June asked.

That was also why our security was the best in the whole city. I only found out in my last life that, after the world was hit by the deadly heatwave, a lot of desperate people showed up. In the apocalypse, humanity meant little. Everyone answered only to themselves. But our community was the only one that never got attacked by any looters, all thanks to the top-notch security forces here. It stayed safe until the scientists finally managed to build weather bombs strong enough to fight off the deadly heat, and the heatwave finally ended. Everyone in our community survived.

Every story has a beginning, some good, some bad, mine has never been a happy one, no matter who, or how I tell it, nobody will believe me. I can't rely on the people in my life, My parents ignore me, or are cruel to me, my friends are unreliable, and aren't trustworthy either. So what happens when I turn 16 years old, and run away from my problems to another world, only to find myself in the same magical world I played make belief in as a kid? With heartbreak at every turn, and a possible new relationship on the horizon, what could possibly go wrong in this world that hasn't happened to me on Earth?!

I didn’t expect the patch to come so soon. In the second month after the battle, the rooftop radio suddenly crackled to life with a crisp broadcast voice. "The Atlas Geothermal Initiative is now active. Surface temperatures will gradually recover. Rescue is on the way." Rhys and I just stared at each other. So this wasn’t a solo survival game after all. It was online, and the admins had finally logged in. A week later, a military helicopter landed in the open lot. Registration and verification went quickly. The officer in charge clapped me on the shoulder. "Turning the apocalypse into a warehouse operation! You’re one of a kind."

After I was done, I quickly returned to my hostel to open up my box of bottled water. This was the big surprise I prepared for everyone. I wanted to see if they could survive the apocalypse with whatever was in the box, which was more than twenty bottles of hot sauce.

James said. Thomas reminded him, “This is the apocalypse for humans, and there’s no way we can survive this era. The heavens wish to annihilate us all. You need to be strong enough to be our savior. In the Apocalypse Age, you should focus only on protecting your family and friends. There’s no need to sacrifice yourself for unrelated people.” Thomas knew how terrifying Curse Magic was. After all, he was tortured with Curse Magic before. James, on the other hand, needed to bear the curse of all humans.

Musi instructed. “Do you think some magic trick will help you against me?” Apocalypse was sneering at me. All her attention was now focused on me. This would buy the sisters some time to get Xalvy and to get out. “I’m going to stop you from getting the others and getting the fifth element.” I walked confidently toward Apocalypse. She doesn’t scare me anymore. The fire burning in my heart gave me the strength to believe I can handle her. “Even if it is the last thing I will do.”

To empty the warehouse. Lila broke a piece of the furniture in the mall and wrote the word empty, before placing it at the front of the mall. Not that it'll help much, people would still go in to see if it's really empty. She couldn't help but rejoice at the fact that the apocalypse began at dawn, imagine it begun at daytime. She'd have had to fight so many zombies and her resources would have been stained with blood. Lila did the same thing she did in her city, emptying some supermarkets, malls and pharmacies while leaving some for others. After which she drove to gas stations to get fuels and gas.

If we don’t make it here, we’ll have to wait for another decade for another chance. There is a mirror magic at the top of the arena so that everyone can see what’s happening on the arena. Even us, whose here at the back, can see everything. The first one to battle is the two spatial mages, spatial magic are really convenient on the battle field. When there is emergency from a far away kingdom, as long as the spatial mage has seen the place, they can make spatial magic to that place. Their magic can alco be formulated into an attack, a strong one at that, but only few spatial mages were able to do that.
