He moved with purpose, like he knew exactly where everything was without having to look. Six books landed on the table in front of me with a series of heavy thuds. Eleanor’s POV My heart skipped a beat as I spotted a book bound in black leather. Gold letters on the cover proudly declared its title: "Mastery of Magic." A shiver ran down my spine as I opened it, scanning its pages for any guidance on the powers that had both blessed and troubled me. Within a minute the tables, floor, and shelves are all cleared of clutter, with each book back in its rightful place. “So which section has the magical books?” I ask, glancing around at all of the shelves. Uncle Luc’s eyes move to the far wall that houses rows and rows of shelves filled with books. My shoulders droop in defeat as I stare at all of the books in that section. “That is a lot of books.” Uncle Luc scratches his head with his index finger. “I don’t remember there being so many books that involve magic.” His eyes gloss over the titles of random green books on the shelves, pulling a few off that he thinks might have what he needs.

“I thought it might be a good place to write the spells and everything down? You can use a spell to hide them so that only those you allow to see it can see the spells.” Willow takes the book curiously. It already looks old but in more of a cool, antique way than a dusty attic way. Maybe this will help? Since that day she unlocked everything her mind has been overwhelmed with the amount of information she’s been told: spells, magic, potions, and everything else at that. Maybe writing them down will free her mind slightly?
