Every story has a beginning, some good, some bad, mine has never been a happy one, no matter who, or how I tell it, nobody will believe me. I can't rely on the people in my life, My parents ignore me, or are cruel to me, my friends are unreliable, and aren't trustworthy either. So what happens when I turn 16 years old, and run away from my problems to another world, only to find myself in the same magical world I played make belief in as a kid? With heartbreak at every turn, and a possible new relationship on the horizon, what could possibly go wrong in this world that hasn't happened to me on Earth?!

She then looked up at me and smiled lightly. "The only question is whether the inside of this cadaver is just as rotten as its previous character."

He just wanted to watch and find out all she could do. Madison knew coming here would help her calm herself and help to get rid of any thoughts still lingering around about Jacob. She tried to find a spell in her book her grandmother had given to her to block someone from her mind mentally, but that type of sorcery was only for those who had been practicing forever. I just need noise at this point. Silence becomes too much sometimes and I just need a show or music on in the background to keep my mind from running away. As I stand to make myself some food, I see almost a maroon colored mist swirling around my hands. I stare for a long minute trying to decide on whether I’m crazy or not. If I am crazy and I react like what I’m seeing is real then that would just reinforce the crazy. I take a deep breath, shake my hands out and move on like it didn’t happen. I don’t have magic,

Mad kissed me on the cheek. “I feel like a wilting plant. You know, life should be easy as I grow old with less drama, more financial stability, a serious relationship, and peace on earth. Instead, I feel like things have gotten more complicated. That was how I felt right now, like a sixty-year-old woman who knitted on the rocking chair, waiting for the sunset and life to end.” “That’s very detailed,” Mad reacted. By the look on his face, he wasn’t happy about it.

“But they want to take you away, Eskaal. They want to steal our happiness. We won't let them!” Her voice turned desperate as she clung to her delusions, her hands trembling as she reached out to touch the shadow. Meagia was determined and talking to herself with no clue of reality and her delusion. “I will use all my magic, every spell I know. I will bring you back, and they who would win!” As Meagia continued to converse with her shadow, her chamber became a surreal dreamscape where the boundaries of reality and fantasy have blurred beyond recognition. Her madness had taken hold of her sanity, and she clung to the illusion of a family that can never be.

The lucky ones, perhaps. Others—gods forgive us—do not. The madness sets in: rage, hunger, loss of all sense. They turn on kin, on pups, on the mate beside them. We try salves, charms, moonstone, prayers. Nothing holds. The young are the most vulnerable. The old, too. I suspect something has ruptured in the spirit—our magic recoils at it. I looked at the car plate number in the image, and its car plate number was the same as the one in my memory. I remembered. And here I was thinking why it looked so familiar. It was Hans and his family. When I finally reached home, I didn't care about anything and quickly made my way to Hans' home. I kept on feeling that if I was a little slower, something bad was going to happen and it was not a result I could accept. And that was the truth. I kept on banging on the door with as much strength as I could muster. The sounds attracted the neighbors nearby and they all came to ask me what was happening. I cried as I answered, "My mother-in-law sold Cara to Hans!"

* Betsy could no longer hold back her anger. Valerie clutched at her cheek in shock. I sneered. “Mom only has one son and he’s married to me. What makes you think he’ll just give an apartment away to you? “Do your fans know how shameless you really are behind the scenes, Valerie?” Valerie was furious and looked ready to fight. Betsy and I struggled with her, but in the chaos, I lost my balance and toppled backward, tumbling over the railing! “Naomi!”
