The Mage's Heart

The Mage's Heart

I asked to distract myself from his body against mine. He made a sound of disgust in the back of his throat. “Do you think it so easy to use magic? You need the right components. I have a dagger, why would I carry components for such a spell?” “For the event that you drop your dagger through the weave of a net?” I suggested, trying to keep my voice bland. In tale, it was always unwise to provoke magic users. “Hmmm.”

A brilliant adult fairy tale! Dark romance, fairies, sirens, mages, dragons, dark elves, mermaids, trolls, imps, spells, and quests. I loved it, an action packed adventure from beginning to end. Folk lore and fae stories truly came alive, I fell in love with the characters and got lost in the story.

The Sage Story of Longwu Continent

The Sage Story of Longwu Continent

"Magus?" The fighters who saw Li Wei's action instantly gasped. The existence of a Magus: Firebender was a luxury that could not be enjoyed to see his abilities and attractions all the time. Firebenders were considered rare because this ability was like saying there was only one talent among a million fighters. Only a few experts could be called Magus - the energy controllers of the Nebula. They are the ones who can transform elements into power. From the whispers among fellow fighters, Li Wei's existence with the Fire magic attracted the crowd's attention over time.

Elaine of Artharia

Elaine of Artharia

Elaine spoke the words down into the glass; the magic seemed to hear her, and as she gave a tug, the lid lifted. The book beneath the glass peered through Elaine. The volumes’ binding was smooth leather, and the stitching was gold. Long, smooth letters were intricately painted across the front, and her hand brushed them softly. It was the most precious book in the world. Reaching down, she pulled it out and flipped to the page she desired. There it was in thick black letters, the word luck. The pages of the book were filled with names and places, a guide to every gifted being in the land. It was centuries old and was only written on by the top magistrate himself, the king’s second in command

Magma Reformed

Magma Reformed

"Dear brother. You have helped me more than you know. I have the power now to do what needs to be done. I just can't have you getting in the way of my goals. When I am too far for you to stop me you will be released. I say as I go past him. I run past the perimeter of the pyre and take off into the trees. It would only be a matter of time before his dragon is able to guide him out of my trap. As I approach the landing pad I close Magma's eyes and imagine it as my form. When I open the eyes it is to realization that nothing has happened. I close the eyes to try once more and instead of transforming I hear Magma's laugh come through muffled from her mind.

Magic Academy: Finding My Mate

Magic Academy: Finding My Mate

For a moment, as I watch him tame the gigantic werewolf, all seems right with the world. I then regain the ability to think. "I asked you a question." The beautiful man meets my eyes, smiling charmingly. "I've already told you, my name is Samael, and I'm a teacher." Sighing, I roll my eyes. "Yeah, but what species are you? I've never seen any dragon-shifter use magic like yours." "Oh, is that, right?" Samael smirks. "I take it you've met plenty of dragon-shifters then?"

Magnus: Dragon Prince

Rector said with a chuckle and a wink. “Well my lords, not entirely” Rowina said, standing up, once again raising her hand, “I once read stories about a Grand Magus who once communed with spirits in the dark realm, who then showed him glimpses of what it would look like if the necromancers Gargaroth and Telagus were not defeated.” “That is a myth” Rector replied with a head shake and small chuckle, before walking out of the door, closing it behind him. “What happened to this Grand Magus?” Rex asked, he was curious about the ending to the story she told.

This is actually a book! Most of the things I read on here have chapters consisting of 800 words or less This on the other hand has chapters that are 2k words on avg. plus the content is amazing. It could use a better editor cause there are a few gramatical errors, but overall, its my favorite book!

Scald Crow

Scald Crow

She extended her hand and best smile. The newcomer stared at her hand and grunted, "Cyrus Tagma, Magical mercenary for hire. I understand you need someone to take an expedition in the mountains?" he began to strap on his vest. Warren noted he didn't carry any material weapons. He opened a velvet-lined box and produced Shaper gauntlets. "I sense one of my kind on him. He shares the heritage," Archon's voice startled almost knocked Warren from his seat. "You can talk now?" Warren exclaimed

REBIRTH: This time I will be a Witch!

REBIRTH: This time I will be a Witch!

The five of them fell asleep almost immediately and left Audrey in shock when she saw her teammates laid on random places on the ground. Audrey sat down. It wasn’t that she was tired, but she was shocked by what she had witnessed the day before that. She still did not quite understand how big the improvement her mades had made in their magic. However, after she witnessed Jace’s show of talents the night before, she finally knew why magus was a popular profession in that world. They could fight against twenty-five people single-handedly, and they could do that without any injuries to themselves too. A single spell could solve everything. No wonder many people respected that power.

Vis said and shrugged. "You can't steal someone's mana without magic, your drunkard! But that's not what I'm talking about. The white fire. Is it Elementalism?" Sidastir asked. "Elementalism is the ability to create and control the elements. Fire is an element, so it is clear that he used Elementalism if it was the fire. How in gods dawn did you get the title Magus if you don't know this?" Vis snorted, but Sidastir ignored him.

Rebirth of the Luckiest Failure

he said. "Yes," Kael said. "They deferred to you," Darius said. "Yes," Kael said. Darius looked along the corridor for a moment before speaking. "In three years of dungeon work," he said, "I have never seen a monster defer, not to strength, not to a mana output differential, not to a ranked mage with a full active field, and nothing." He paused. "They did not defer because you were powerful in any conventional sense. They deferred because of what you are."
