However, the doctor sensed Maisie's intense gaze. "What's wrong, Ms. Bardot?" the female doctor asked. "Do you have a cellphone?" Maisie lowered her voice. The doctor glanced at the door, and Maisie did the same. The doctor shook her head suspiciously. "Lies." \ In this day and age, who didn't have a cellphone? "Can you lend me yours?" Maisie raised an eyebrow. The doctor kept her head down. Maisie, keeping an eye on the door, was afraid of prying ears. She deliberately lowered her voice even more.

The maids were in their quarters and the hallways were completely empty. I went to my room, took a quick bath, and changed into black joggers and a sleeveless top. Then I stepped back out, heading toward the garden. As I passed by the kitchen, a figure caught my attention. I slowed, then took a few steps back. Maisie stood at the counter, her back to me. She was cooking… or just finishing. The smell of something warm filled the air. I entered quietly and walked up behind her. "Trying to impress someone?" I murmured.

She called out her sister’s name with aggression, and before she could call out her name again, the door opened. In front of her stood Alpha Cephas, his face was swollen, and half of his face was tied with a white cloth which was beginning to get stained with blood. Terror overwhelmed Maisie as she gazed at him. “What happened to you?” “Maisie?” Maeve answered from inside the house and stepped out, pulling Maisie along with her. “Let go of me!” Maisie smacked, snatching her hand from hers. “I just saw the girl that is supposed to be dead at the palace! How did it happen? You were supposed to kill her!” Maisie smacked.

His expression was a mix of emotions, reflecting the complexity of the situation. Unbeknownst to them, a maid was eavesdropping on their conversation, her curiosity piqued. As soon as she obtained substantial information, she quickly slipped her hand into her apron and retrieved her phone. To avoid being caught, the maid rushed downstairs to the servant bathroom, where she made a call. After a few rings, an annoyed feminine voice responded on the other side, "What is it?" "Ma'am, Elsie is getting back her memories. She dreamt about her mother," the maid, named Naina, reported.
